Job Summary
- We are looking for an experienced Regional Manager to oversee our business operations in an assigned region.
- The Regional Manager will be responsible for leading and managing daily operations to achieve business goals and maximize profitability.
- As Regional Manager your duties also include guiding management staff in your region, setting performance objectives, evaluating and optimizing operational performance, ensuring regulatory and company standards are upheld and preparing operations and financial reports.
- To be successful as a Regional Manager, you should be able to lead and manage people, ensure operations run smoothly, and achieve revenue targets.
- Ultimately, a top-notch Regional Manager should be able to perform efficiently in a high-pressure environment and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
This is not limited to the following:
- Achieving business goals and revenue targets.
- Overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, and setting performance objectives.
- Recruiting, training, and supporting general managers as well as conducting regular performance appraisals.
- Developing and implementing business, marketing, and advertising plans.
- Managing internal and external stakeholder relations and negotiating contracts.
- Planning, evaluating, and optimizing operations to be efficient and cost-effective.
- Ensuring products and services comply with regulatory and quality standards.
- Ensuring company standards and procedures are followed.
- Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, analyses, and reports of operations and finances.
- Dealing with escalated customer issues, incident reports, and legal actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field preferred.
- 5-7 years of management and leadership experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, operations software, and project management tools.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Operations Management experience
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to leverage a range of influencing techniques.
- Proven ability to manage multiple project/tasks effectively.
- Sound relationship and customer service management skills.
- Ability to maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders including regular face-to-face visits and frequent calls.
- Proactive follow-up, strong leadership skills and a sense of responsibility in driving programs and projects.
- Demonstrated ability to drive and deliver strategic business plans, initiatives, cost reductions and savings.
- High level of personal and professional integrity coupled with strong work ethics and a high degree of flexibility
- Strong team building skills and continuous improvement efforts in a meaningful way to assure operational success and employee satisfaction.
- Ability to act with a sense of urgency and purpose balanced with strategic
Qualification/Experience
- Must understand the language of the Zone
- Have good knowledge of the zone
- Must have a civil engineering background
- Must have sales experience at regional level
- Must be an intermediate level user of Microsoft office suite {Word, Excel and PowerPoint}
Remuneration
Basic salary of N200, 000 monthly + performance based bonuses.
