Job Title: Medical Director

Location: Lagos

Job Brief

• A client of ours is seeking to hire a dedicated Medical Director to ensure the efficient operation of our healthcare facility.
• The Medical Director’s responsibilities include coordinating medical teams, achieving the facility’s mission goals, and executing the facility’s policies, systems, and agendas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an adequate environment for the professional well-being of the working forces, notably the physicians
• Responsible for developing and improving the foundation policy, protocols, and procedures are given that these issues reflect the core of the institutional constitution
• Supervise directly or appoint medical commissions involved in the functioning of the HIS
• Assisting with training, continuing education, and promotion of subordinate staff.
• Managing the facility’s budget.
• Liaising with medical and non-medical departments and enhancing relationships with vendors.
• Act as the medical expert in dealings with vendors and non-medical facilities that work within the organization
• Create workgroups and leadership committees that are designed to improve patient care and enhance relationships with providers
• To prepare reports for & attend meetings with the governing bodies regarding the total activities of the hospital.

Requirements

• MBBS or its Medical qualification equivalent.
• Any other higher degree in medicine
• MBA or an equivalent degree in Business studies.
• Any professional Certification in Quality, Clinical/ Medical Administration or any other related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Good computer and electronic record skills.
• Excellent managerial and organizational skills.
