We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pharmacist Independent Prescriber

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Pharmacist Independent Prescriber will be primarily responsible for providing virtual drug prescription support including, telehealth and telemedicine whilst understanding the drugs being prescribed, including any adverse side effect, contraindications and appropriate monitoring.

Education and Qualification

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)
• Minimum of 3 year experience in a similar role.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a pharmacist
• Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands, e.t.c
• Accuracy and sound attention to details as there can’t be any room for errors.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a customer oriented approach.
• An analytical mind
• Computer literacy
• Valid license to practice pharmacy.
• Applicants must be resident within Ajah axis.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with persons in order to understand their needs, make sure there is a genuine clinical need for treatment and come to a shared decision about the care they provide.
• Advise and prescribe drugs after reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Ensure there is sufficient information and knowledge of a patient’s health and medical history.
• Prescribe appropriate medication for patient need within areas of competency and within agreed management plans.
• Provide help and advice on medicines use to patients.
• Other related duties as assigned.
