JKLC Professional Services – Our client, a Trade Partner with a major TELCO in the telecommunications sector, is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates for immediate employment in the position below:

Job Title: Internal Audit Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Report directly to the MD / CEO and Board of Directors
  • Report on group spending on a month-to-month basis to identify spending trends and help identify areas for further cost reductions and focus
  • Undertake internal audits to ensure the company meets its financial, operational and compliance objectives
  • Support the development of an assurance planning reporting process
  • Objectively assess existing/ current IT system and business processes across the company and perform a SWOT analysis
  • Assess the company’s risks and the efficacy of its risk management efforts. Regularly map existing and emerging risks
  • Report on control deficiencies and make recommendations for process refinement and improvement
  • Promote ethics and help identify improper conduct
  • Regularly review company policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date with all legislation and best practices
  • Regular monitoring of post-audit actions and their results
  • Promote ethics and help identify improper conduct
  • Supervise and train subordinate Internal Audit staff, as may be required.

Core Requirements

  • Education: HND / B.Sc in Accounting or Business Management.
  • Professional Qualification: ACA or ACCA preferred. Possession of MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Work Experience: Must have at least 6 – 10 years of accounting / auditing experience, preferably in telecoms / IT environment.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Experience in interacting with all levels and departments within a company, including regional headquarters and field offices of an organization
  • Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills
  • Willingness to travel within and outside office location as may be required.

Job Title: Internal Audit Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Reports to the Audit Manager
  • Audit inbound invoices against signed contracts, order forms, and internal monitoring tools to verify that all charges are valid.
  • Work closely with internal teams to confirm both regular and ‘on demand’ orders have been properly authorized and delivered by suppliers
  • Daily reconcile orders to sales and actual bank & cash collections
  • Work with vendors to resolve any billing questions, issues or disputes
  • Review accounts payable operations, invoicing procedures, payment terms and accounting techniques used for entries
  • Review transactions entry and conduct audit trails to financial statements
  • Conduct spot and regular stock audits.

Core Requirements

  • Education: HND / B.Sc in Accountancy or Business Management
  • Professional Qualification: Student member of ICAN or ANAN preferred.
  • Experience: Must have 1 – 3 years of accounting / auditing experience, preferably in telecoms / IT environment.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Good organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Self starter with ability to accept responsibility for projects and see them through to completion, to work as an individual contributor, and to contribute as part of a larger team.
