Job Description
- We’re seeking a Web Developer with sound programming experience who will work within the team to build new features and functionality on our websites.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and maintenance of websites, user interface features and graphic designs to enhance the organization’s online presence.
Other Responsibilities
The applicant must be able to:
- Design, build and maintain web pages, develop user interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements, and contribute to the design group’s efforts to enhance the look and feel of on-line offerings.
- Lead in the planning, analysis, specification, designing, testing and implementation of various web/intranet projects, including reporting.
- Supervise the operations of the editors/authors (content managers); ensure security, quality assurance, conformity to standards, and the overall integrity of the web/intranet through constant review of contents,
- Build, manage and administer a MIIS 6 web server including user administration, FTP administration, documentation hierarchy and site security; create monitoring reports and logs, and ensure the functionality of Jinks; monitor site for acceptable performance and user accessibility. Establish backups and monitor site security.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- BSc / HND in Computer Science / Engineering
- 3- 5 years postgraduation experience, 2 of which should be in core web administration, support and development
- Must possess excellent Knowledge of Database Design, Web Security Management, Web server administration, Web Application Support, System Testing, System Design and integration, IT systems and Business Analysis.
Skills & Competencies:
- Essential experience designing, testing, deploying and maintenance of websites
- Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Jquery, AJAX, HTML5, CSS, MVC frameworks
- Proven experience with design Photoshop,
- Magento or relevant Ecommerce platform experience
- Experience in Web Optimization, Insights/Analytics, and Digital Marketing – with concentration in SEO.

- Self-starter with that rare blend of great creative design, prototyping, and implementation skills.

- Commitment to high standards of quality, including documentation.
- Prefer candidates with experience working across platforms including mobile.
