Sigma Consulting Group – Our client, a Hospitality firm located in Lagos, require the services of suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chef

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The ideal candidates would be responsible for setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes, who will be responsible to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. Also, he/she should be familiar with sanitization regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Min: 3 – 5 years experience
  • Proven work experience as a Chef.
  • Excellent record of kitchen management.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office; MS Excel and MS word.
  • A Culinary certificate would be required.
  • Keep up with cooking trends and best practices.

Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • A great attention to detail.
  • The ability to work under extreme pressure.
  • The ability to make good food consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
  • Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards.
  • Cook food in a timely manner.
  • Ensure appealing plate presentation.
  • Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients .
  • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
  • Monitor food stock and place order.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
