Job Title: Experience Centre – Robotic Process Automation (Senior Associate)

The Team

• The Intelligent Automation Team at the Experience Centre is focused on standardizing, automating, delivering tools and processes and exploring emerging technologies that drive efficiency and enable our people to reimagine the possible. Process improvement, transformation, effective use of innovative technology and data & analytics, and leveraging alternative delivery solutions are key areas of focus to drive additional value for our firm.
• The Automation Team is focused on implementing intelligent process automation solutions that will impact the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our business processes across Tax, Assurance, Advisory, and Internal Firm Services.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Leadership to less experienced team members
• Ability to communicate effectively with all internal/external stakeholders
• Participate in Design and Code Reviews
• Establish standards in all Software Development/Design, Deployment and integration/implementation activities
• Work closely with operations to develop the most optimal system architecture/deployment design for the core platforms
• Gather critical information from meetings with stakeholders in order to identify product and business requirements
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Document business requirements using formalism such UML or other object oriented modeling tools
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor platform functioning to ensure specifications are met
• Provide assistance to relevant functional teams by identifying requirements and improvements to the architectural design of new/existing applications
• Provide training to client end users with relevant tools and technical document
• Mentor younger Developers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or corresponding work experience in Software Development/Engineering.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience WPF applications, ASP.NET, MVC, C#, Net, Web API, JSON, REST, and SQL Server, Web Services
• Proficient in Frontend JavaScript Frameworks, particularly AngularJS/ReactJS/Vuej
• Experience in building enterprise grade applications
• Proficiency in object-oriented design and development
• Proficiency in design patterns
• Experience working with project management methodologies
• Ability to lead and manage a software development team
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi task
• Awareness, understanding and usage of testing concepts and frameworks
• Experience with Microsoft SQL database design and stored procedure programming.
• Understanding and ability to implement good architecture
• Proficiency with Test Driven Development
• Proficient Understanding of Code Versioning tools such as Git
• Ability to gather, critically review and analyze product/business requirements
• Experience with setting up and managing cloud technologies; Azure or Heroku

• The Automation Team within PwC Experience Centre is focused on implementing intelligent process automation solutions that will impact the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our business processes across Tax, Assurance, Advisory, and Internal Firm Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or corresponding work experience in Computer and Information Science, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Project Engineering & Management, Operations Management/Research
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience involving technology-focused process improvements, transformations, and/or system implementations.
• Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Demonstrating entrepreneurship
• Coaching and helping junior resources learn technical concepts
• Having proven software development/architecture/infrastructure skills
• Driving and pushing prototypes forward while considering innovative features, functionality, and usability
• Collaborating in small multidisciplinary teams and with other developers and designers to continue pushing forward progress towards meeting customer needs
• Having full stack development skills are not required, but a plus.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills
Demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

• Leading, coaching and mentoring teams across projects
• Designing and Implementing solutions, playbooks, and thought leadership around Intelligent Automation, leveraging a suite of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Smart workflow, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) etc., popular programming languages such as Python etc.
• Interacting with key stakeholders across business units by providing solution demos and being available to speak with clients as subject matter specialists interfacing with and presenting to senior leadership
• Driving the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of technology solutions
• Designing and validating Intelligent Automation application and holistic data architectures
• Developing Intelligent Automation solutions leveraging platforms such as UiPath, Agile Point, Alteryx, Workfusion etc.
• Creating rapid prototypes including end-to-end development and testing of software bots, cognitive engines, APIs and other ecosystem components;
• Coordinating with practice teams and subject matter specialists to identify and build specific solutions that can be demonstrated to our key stakeholders
• Validating business and technical requirements, user personas and stories, wireframes and interface design, user experience design, and application and data architectures
• Working with the Intelligent Automation team members to establish status, risks, and issues that are reported/escalated as needed
• Identifying, managing, and updating the portfolio and pipeline of Intelligent Automation opportunities.

Job Summary

• The software developer will be part of the Intelligent Automation team that develops digital solutions to automate processes for internal & external clients by either developing bespoke solutions (i.e. web, mobile, etc.) or using Robotic Process Automation and other relevant technology stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of software programs to solve both internal and external business challenges.
• Ability to translate clients’ business requirements into digital solutions.
• Producing clean, efficient codes based on internal coding standards and specification.
• Work closely with other developers such as the UX designer in building out optimal solutions.
• Document the work that has been done.
• Training users on the developed software.
• Provide technical guidance for clients on the use of developed digital solutions.
• The Senior Associate will be responsible for the management of day-to-day activities of the project team.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of preferred coding languages: C#, Angular, Scala, HTML, JavaScript, Python.
• Solution conceptualization, creativity and innovation.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge in software designing, web development, design patterns, web applications, business analysis, agile methodologies, web services, software integration, project management, design patterns and programming.

• Practical experience developing solutions that leverage Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence will be an added advantage.
• Ability to lead small teams to deliver project objectives.
