A Financial Services company located in “Abuja”is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resource Manager

Location: Abuja

Job Summary

  • The Human Resource Manager is accountable along with the leadership team for delivery of the business strategy and to effectively lead organisational change initiatives for ongoing business success.
  • He/she is responsible for resource optimization and will ensure the organisational culture, organisation design, talent management, performance management, reward management, succession planning and all other HR requirements support the business strategy.
  • In addition, the Human Resource Manager will implement HR core processes and ensure effective HR service delivery.

Job Requirements

  • Professional membership – CIPM / CIPD / SHRM or equivalent
  • Master’s in HRM or equivalent discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in HRM (with 2years in a leadership role) desired
  • Must demonstrate numerical, financial and analytical abilities
  • Proven ability to persuade influence and build credibility across all levels
  • Consultancy skills, specifically diagnosis and contracting
  • Excellent coaching and relationship building skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement HR strategy and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • To develop and implement “Best Practice” HR policies and procedures
  • To develop and implement a comprehensive resourcing plan (manpower plan) for the organization
  • To manage the company’s strategic recruitment, selection and onboarding plan
  • To ensure job descriptions for all positions are implemented in accordance with business objectives
  • To implement competency profiles and career development frameworks focused on business objectives
  • To coordinate organizational-wide employee development plan based on competency profiles and individual career paths
  • Oversee and coordinate the performance management system that drives business objectives and high corporate performance
  • To develop and implement the company’s reward strategy and administer employee compensation and benefits programs
  • To ensure implementation of an effective succession and employee development plan
  • To prepare monthly reports to Executive/ Senior management for decision making through HR metrics
  • To provide HR support to employees, functional business units and senior / executive management
  • To implement employee engagement initiatives
  • To manage employee relations and address demands, grievances or disciplinary issues
  • To ensure compliance of human resource procedures with regulatory requirements and ensure documentation and applicable records are maintained
  • To design a filing and retrieval system for records – past and current
  • To promote the company’s values and culture – Ensure team is aligned to company’s strategy and nurture a positive working environment.
