National Agricultural Development Authority (NALDA) has rolled out more empowerment programmes for Nigerians to apply.
NALDA (National Agricultural Land Development Authority), is a body established in 1992 but it went into extinction in 2000. However, under the administration of the President Muhammadu Buhari, it was revived to carry out its mandate of developing rural communities through agriculture and to make agriculture a business and a source of wealth creation for the country.
Nalda Youth Empowerment Programmes for Nigerians under the NALDA Initiative:

- Agro Input Initiative
National Young Farmers Scheme
Under this programme, NALDA will focus on encouraging the Nigerian youth to participate in agriculture. This projects final goal would be to encourage, empower and guide 1000 farmers from each of the 774 LGAs in Nigeria. This programme is intended to cut accross all facets of agriculture. We are currently running a pilot programme that involves empowering 100 young farmers from 3 LGAs in 16 states of the country for a total of 4,800 new young farmers.
Volunteer Programme
Under the volunteer, we are calling on the Nigerian youth to volunteer their massive and impressive talents in establishing and running the full NALDA networks accross the nation, we intend to engage the youth with this directive, and those chosen will be the pioneers conquering the frontiers of Job creation and stability in Agricultural Sector.
Back to Farm Initiative
Under this initiative, we intend to drum up awareness in the populace, highlighting the importance of going back to the farm, as farming the NALDA way has been made attractive by incorporating new and innovative methods of farming. We will be in cahoots with various paramilitary outfits in the country, along with our NYSC, and various professionals and associations.
Agro Input Intervention
This intervention will be geared towards active farmers to help them expand, we will provide subsidies in collaboration with the Agricultural Development Project, Value Chain Actors, State Ministries of Agriclture and Co-operative bodies.
