Job Title: Architect
Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Creating building designs and highly detailed drawings by hand and applicable design applications.
- Working with a team of other supporting professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors
- Adapting plans according to situations and resolving any arising problems during construction.
- Writing and presenting reports, proposals, applications and contracts.
- Determining the materials to be used and specifying the requirements for specific projects.
- Liaising with construction professionals about the feasibility of a proposed project, including constraining factors such as town planning legislation, environmental impact and project budget.
- Ensuring projects run according to schedule and budget.
- Negotiating with various contractors and other site professionals.
- Attending meetings with clients to discuss their requirements.
- Supporting the project and team management.
- Travelling to site location to check on progress within and outside base location to building sites, prospective locations and scheduled meetings.
- Perform other duties as required
Qualification/Experience
- B.Sc or Masters in Architecture with 3 – 5 years Architectural designs and site experience. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, 3D, Presentation Softwares, Previous Portfolio, reside around Mainland environs.
- Additional / Higher qualification can be an added advantage.
Core Skills:
- Proficiency in 3D architectural visualisation, Revit and AutoCAD
- Hand sketching, working drawing and rendering skills
- Graphics, Presentation and Construction skills
- Proficient in Microsoft packages: Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook
- High levels of creativity, imagination and vision
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Organisational, project management and planning skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills: oral and written
- A keen eye for details
- Highly committed to work.
