Job Summary
Responsible for monitoring the process performance of the entire Plant and define corrective actions together with Maintenance, Production and Quality Departments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Total process control at all levels of manufacturing for achieving the targeted production levels.
- Conducting process audits for all the manufacturing stages and sub stages and documenting & reporting.
- Collation, Compilation, and Analysis of Process Reports and Daily Production Data on SAP, sensing the deviations, trouble shooting and suggesting ways and means to enhance level of consistency in quality, volume and productivity in operation.
- Suggesting and contributing in implementation of new and better process initiatives and modifications for reducing power and fuel consumption and increasing the output.
- Taking initiatives for reducing the operation cost by carrying out modifications and improvements in the process.
- Ensure Implementation of ISO Systems and Safety Standards in Production Department.
- Training and development needs analysis of subordinates.
- Other additional assignments as entrusted by the management.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- B.Sc./HND Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 18 years in Cement Industry

- Planning and Organising the Total Operation of Raw Mills, Cement Mills, Kilns, Coal Mills and Auxiliaries equipment
- Planning and Implementation of Production, Capital and Revenue Budget.
- Plant Performance Reviews and Analysis with a view to enhancing production output, efficiency and cost reduction.
- Co-ordination of Maintenance programmes with Heads of Maintenance Departments as well as Heads of Sections in Production to achieve the targeted availability of Raw Mills, Kilns and Cement and Coal Grinding Equipment.
- Monitor and control consumption trend of refractory, grinding media, grinding aid, and their inventory level.
- Achieving optimum fuel efficiency, power consumption & utilisation of manpower
- Ensure Implementation of ISO Systems and Safety in Production Department.
- Ensuring no accidents in the department and near-miss analysis.
- Cost reduction by carrying out modifications and improvements in the process.
- Ensuring quality of the product going out from the department as per internal quality norms.
- Assessing performance of subordinates and providing necessary feedback for their development to Human Assets Department.
- Other additional assignments as entrusted by the manager-production / management.

- Coaching and Training of CCR operators to execute operational initiatives for increasing production and reducing cost of production.
- Co-ordination of autonomous maintenance with the help of shift patrollers to achieve the targeted availability of plant for production of raw meal and clinker respectively.
- Trouble Shooting Operational Problems and taking actions to ensure run the equipment in steady trend on continuous basis.
- Achieving optimum fuel efficiency, power consumption and minimizing manpower utilization.
- Ensure Implementation of ISO Systems and Safety Standards in Production Department.
- Ensuring that the quality of the product going out from your department confirm with internal quality specifications.
- Assessing self-development needs and taking action on improvement areas identified.
- Relieves other Kiln CCR operator when on leave.
- Other additional assignments as entrusted by the management.
