The Delta State Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP) is an initiative of the state government. It is a skill acquisition program open to all indigenous persons of Delta state. For those who are interested, we will outline the Delta sate Step Application processes and requirements for you so you can participate in it.

1. Catering and Confectionery.
2. Fashion Design and Tailoring.
3. Tiling and Interlocking.
4. PoP, Painting, and Screed-Making.
5. Electrical and Solar Works.
6. Hairdressing and Braiding.
7. Welding and Fabrication.
8. Audio-Visual Services.
STEP encompasses the training of youths in different skills/trade and helping them to establish their own enterprises for self-employment and to become employers of labor. Alumni of the programme will be branded and promoted as STEPreneurs.
Under STEP, unemployed youths will undergo a 3-phase training plan comprising life skills and orientation course, vocational skills training and business/entrepreneurship training.
How to Apply for How To Apply Delta State 2021 Skills Training & Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP)
Youths who desire to learn any of these skills afresh for self-employment should collect, complete, and submit application forms to the Local Government Council headquarter office nearest to place of residence.
Applicants should collect and submit completed forms starting Monday 22nd to Friday 26th February 2021 (10 am to 2 pm daily).
For personal identification, applicants should come along with National Identity Card, Permanent Voter Card, National Driver’s License or International Passport. Please, note that the application form is free-of-charge.
Also, take note that all previous or current beneficiaries of the State Government’s job creation and youth empowerment programmes including STEP, YAGEP, RYSA, GEST and WESAP should not apply.
All candidates must adhere strictly to COVID-19 prevention protocols, particularly the wearing of face masks.
