Job Description
- The 3PL Regional Manager will oversee daily warehouse and logistics operation within the assigned regions.
- You will be the handler for 3PL & distributors to deliver all operational, cost, & functional goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily operations of up to 10 operational offices.
- Provides overall operational management direction and guidance to regional offices on daily operations
- Visit each partner hub as needed to assess office dynamics and operational compliance providing support and guidance when necessary.
- Supervises the hub managers in partnership with sub departments.
- Position primarily responsible to provide leadership, direction and support to the hub managers to ensure operational excellence.
- Develop and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships: Develop and maintain effective relationships with all team and others associates/team outside the region
- Provide Insight and business strategy operational growth within your region
- Ensure daily reporting, weekly, quarterly and operational KPI are maintained
- Ensure continuous operational improvement adapting the Lean methodology.
- Make process improvements to the existing processes.
- Coordinate with systems/ IT teams to make use of technology to improve processes.
Qualification and Experience
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the area of Logistics
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable University (MBA/MSc is a plus).
- Customer Service/Account Management
- Should have experience in SCM in online or offline retail formats / FMCG companies.
- Should have experience in vendor management and have handled teams.

Job Title: Head of 3PL

Job Description
- The Head of 3PL (Third Party Logistics) will ensure on-time delivery and pickups through 3rd Party Logistics providers as per agreed Service levels.
- You will Manage 3rd party Logistics providers as required by the demand of delivery and pick up of Jumia shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate a set of SLAs and Processes for the 3rd Party Logistics providers as per the requirement and load from time to time.
- Managing 3rd party Logistics providers as per SLAs.
- Managing cost of delivery through 3PL vendors.
- Partner with 3PL vendors in order to identify and resolve issues in their delivery processes to ensure best performance for Jumia/Kaymu deliveries.
- Structure and conduct analysis on 3PL performance data available to monitor and track performance.
- Monitoring the performance of all 3rd party service providers on processes related to customer experience in SCM like timely delivery, completion of data entry to ensure data availability as agreed, return pick up and any process related to a customer’s experience.
- Manage 3PL vendor portfolio by:
- Constantly monitoring and evaluating vendor performance relative to each other to decide volumes and coverage areas given to each vendor.
- Constantly keep new service providers in the pipeline to enhance the bench mark of services to customer.
- Regular audit of data on deliveries and return pickups.
- Mitigate any likely risks in SCM Processes / Practices and Customer Experience.
- Regular and consistent feedback activities / mechanisms to ascertain the services levels of 3rd Party Logistics providers and encourage improvements.
- Reiterate on Values of Jumia/Kaymu at all levels.
