Job Summary
- HSE officers, also known as health, safety, and environment officers and environment health and safety officers, monitor health and safety, assess risk, and design strategies to reduce potential hazards within an assigned workplace or geographic area.
- Private companies and government offices hire HSE officers to work full daytime weekday hours, both in office environments and out in the field. HSE officers manage and train other health and safety staff members and frequently travel to perform field investigations and respond to incident reports.
HSE Officer Job Duties
- Investigating / recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health on site.
- Undertaking risk assessments and site inspections.
- Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly/safely.
- Identifying potential hazards.
- Determining ways of reducing risks.
- Ensuring compliance with the health and safety policies stipulated by the company.
- Writing internal health and safety policies/strategies.
- Drawing-up safe operational practices and making necessary changes.
- Writing reports, bulletins and newsletters on health and safety.
- Providing health and safety meetings and training courses for employees.
- Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation.
Requirements

Job Title: Project Engineer (Electrical)

Job Description
- Electrical site engineers design the main power systems that feed commercial buildings and offices as well as the distribution circuits to each unit. They also handle design problems when they arise. Electrical plans are never 100 percent correct, and changes will always have to be made. These changes are the responsibility of the electrical site engineer.
Job Duties
- Managing and maintaining building services, such as lighting, heating, ventilation and lift systems
- Carrying out feasible Working withhigh and low voltage equipment
- Managing power generation, transmission and distribution
- Designing systems and products
- Working with renewable energy sources

- Carrying out feasibility studies for new technical developments
- Drawing up project plans, making models, prototypes and circuit diagrams
- Budgeting, Estimating timescales

Requirements

- Must be a registered member of COREN & NSE.
- Candidate must have previous experience in site management.
- Candidate must have 5 years’ relevant previous experience in similar role.
Job Title: Design Engineer (Electrical)

Job Summary
- Electrical Design Engineer in the design of the electrical system like earthling, lighting, cabling, preparation of single line diagram, communication, fire alarm etc. including system calculations and drawing preparation.
Electrical Design Engineer Job Duties
- Plans and schedules assigned work and determines staffing needs to meet the project milestones and assumes responsibility for meeting man-hour budget and project schedules for all work assigned to the group or subordinate personnel
- Receives technical guidance from Group Leader, Design Supervisor or Electrical specialists only on unusual or complex problems, performs 3D modelling extraction from 3D model 2D drafting when required.
- Supervises and prepares design and drafting procedures to standardize the design effort.
- Monitors work for compliance with approved design standards and to provide for efficient and quality design, reliable plant operation and economy.
- Plans, Schedules, conducts and co-ordinates with minimal supervision.
- Supervises and reviews quantity take-offs.
- Reviews and defines engineering scope changes as required.
- Endorses or prepares reports for work progress for project discipline use.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of computer applications to design work and promotes maximum and efficient use of computers.
- Assists less experienced personnel in the performance of their assigned tasks.
- Performs interdisciplinary checks.
- Assists Lead Engineer in maintaining project Contract review, KPI, Change Tracking, Schedule Tracking, Productivity and dashboard reporting, Value Engineering, Lesson Learnt etc.
- Review design documents, Subcontractors/ Vendor documents for technical compliance.
- Performs technical audits as and when required.
- Prepares, reviews or monitors project controls, cost estimates, quantity take offs and manpower requirement.
- Gives on-the-job training, promotes development of subordinates, evaluates and counsels assigned personnel.
Requirements
- BSc, BTech / HND or M.Sc. (or its equivalent) in Electrical Engineering from a reputable and accredited higher institution of learning.
- Minimum of 5 years post NYSC experience working in same capacity and industry
- Must be a registered member of COREN & NSE.
- Candidate must have expertise in AutoCAD and Revit as an added advantage
- Candidate must have 5 years’ relevant previous experience in similar role.
