Job Title: Accountant
Location: Ogba, Ikeja-Lagos
Requirements
- OND, HND or B.Sc in Accounting, Economics or other related field
- Working knowledge of Sage Accounting system or any similar Accounting System is a must
- 2-3 years experience in a structured accounting environment
- Accounting experience in a logistics company environment will be an advantage
- ICAN Qualification or advanced stage success in relevant levels in ICAN examinations will be a clear advantage
- A good knowledge of double entry principles
- Ability to post transaction, prepare
- Good communication skills
Responsibilities
- Capturing all the financial transactions of the business through the company’s accounting system.
- Reconciling bank transactions through bank reconciliation statements
- Preparing monthly management accounts and reports or any other financial reports as may be required
- Preparing periodic tax returns
- administering payrolls and
- Providing relevant information to the management on how to control company’s expenses
- Preparing and presenting budget reports and cash flow projections
- Preparing business plans and analysing accounts
- providing tax planning services with reference to current legislation
- Examining expenses submitted by employees and posting
- Managing accounts receivable
