Job Title: Data Scientist

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description
We are looking to hire a full-time Data Scientist that understands data structures, data modelling and software architecture; that will help manage our systems.

• Responsible for the collection of data, analyzing and interpreting it to obtain insights and coming up with innovative solutions for emerging business concerns;
• Combine models;
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges;
• Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes;
• Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data;
• Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms;

Qualifications

• B.Sc in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar field;
• At least 3 years experience.
• Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role;
• Understanding of data structures, data modelling and software architecture;
• Ability to write robust & reusable code in Python, Java and R;
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries;
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Familiar with the financial market, relevant laws and regulations, and credit risk prevention identification, monitoring, and resolution
