- Ensures operational management of global and local conference services of the AUC by addressing needs of clients and delivering services to their satisfaction by providing conference systems, services, equipment, planning capacity, managing workforce for translation and interpretation text processing, printing and publishing.

- Academic Requirements and Relevant Experience
- Master’s Degree in management, administration, conference servicing or related fields with 15 years of experience out of which 8 years are at managerial level and 5 at supervisory level.
- Experience in conference services management in similar international organizations is an advantage.
- Experience in facilitating intergovernmental processes and multicultural diplomacy is desirable.
- Professional qualifications in interpretation or translation are an added advantage.

- Overall supervision of the Protocol Directorate and dealing with policy matters with host government, foreign embassies and international Organizations.

Job Purpose
- Assist the Registrar to manage the Registry in an effective manner to ensure efficiency of operations and activities; and to act as the Registrar during his/her absence.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Under the overall supervision of the President of the Court, and under the direct supervision of the Registrar, the Deputy Registrar will assist the Registrar, and where necessary to act as the Registrar, in the performance of the duties described under Rule 21 of the Rules of the Court:
- Keep, in such form as may be prescribed by the Court, a General List of all cases, entered and numbered in the order in which the documents instituting proceedings or requesting an advisory opinion are received at the Registry, and he/she shall publish such General List on the website of the Court;
- Be the regular channel of communication to and from the Court, and in particular, effect all communications, notifications and transmission of documents required by the Protocol or by the Rules of the Court and ensure that the date of dispatch and receipt thereof are readily verifiable;
- Transmit to the parties copies of all pleadings and documents annexed thereto upon receipt thereof in the Registry;
- Be present, in person or by his/her duly qualified representative, during the sessions of the Court, and be responsible for the preparation of minutes of such sessions;
- Sign the minutes referred to in subparagraph (iv) above;
- Inspect documentation submitted to the Court to establish authenticity thereof;
- Have custody of the seal, the official stamp and all the records and archives of the Court;
- Make arrangements for such provision or verification of translations and interpretations into the Court’s official languages as the Court may require;
- Manage the Legal Aid program of the Court, including maintaining an updated list of Counsel on the Court’s Roster and entities providing legal aid services as well as management of the Legal Aid fund;
- Be responsible, among others, for the printing and publication of the Court’s judgments, advisory opinions and orders, the pleadings and statements, uploading documents on the Court’s website, and minutes of public sittings in each case, and of such other documents as the Court may direct to be published;
- Communicate to the government of the country in which the Court is sitting, and any other governments which may be concerned, necessary information as to the persons from time to time entitled, under the Protocol and any relevant agreements, to privileges, immunities or facilities, and publish all such documents of a public nature, including the Court’s Annual Report on the website of the Court;
- Transmit documents to Judges, State Parties to the Protocol and to the Chairperson of the AU Commission as well as other organs of the African
