Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Officer

Job description

  • Our client is a start-up company and seeks to hire a fleet maintenance officer who will manage the company’s fleet, coordinate drivers, maintain detailed records of vehicle, servicing, and inspection, and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage fleet policies
  • Assign vehicles to drivers
  • Manage accident reports
  • With the use of systems and devices track vehicle location and driver’s driving pattern
  • Set up maintenance schedules
  • Oversee routine and Adhoc maintenance of vehicles
  • Keep excellent records on vehicle use and maintenance
  • Research and select vehicles for lease or purchase
  • Maintain vehicle resale value for easy disposal.
  • Control repair, inventory and labor cost
  • Look for ways to reduce costs and increase profits in addition to finding means of getting better fuel efficiency
  • Establish situational procedures for possible problems and scenarios.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution ( in logistics preferably)
  • A minimum of 2 years work successful transport/fleet management experience
  • Experience in the transportation industry

Job Title: Logistics Officer

Location: Ajah, Lagos

Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day fleet operation activities
  • Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting current user trends
  • Streamline routes with riders to keep costs down but still deliver the level of service customers are expecting
  • Facilitate and implement corrective actions and capacity building to manage the entire fleet to achieve organizational objectives
  • Ensure adherence to delivery operational guidelines
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Maintenance Officer to ensure minimal downtime of fleet
  • Establish business relationships with transport companies for the purpose of the upcountry deliveries
  • Manage last-mile delivery on consignment to upcountry locations
  • Track rider, keep logs and records of deliverables to upcountry locations.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage
  • Must possess 3 – 5 years operational experience in logistics and vehicle maintenance
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Able to handle the pressure of meeting deadlines
  • Strong understanding of safety culture and management.
  • Problem-solving skill
  • Must be willing to work weekends,evenings, and holidays
  • Health and safety certification.
