We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Control Officer

Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Responsibility

  • To ensure the reliability and integrity of financial information through development and consistent review of policies and procedures,implementation of controls and monitoring of Company processes, compliance of laws and regulations affecting the business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Constantly evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the organizations internal control systems and procedures
  • Prepare audit programme, audit plan and conduct audit testing of financial and operational controls and advice on adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness of such controls especially over Fixed asset security, inventory, Cash, Bank balances, Debtors, credit limit and creditors .
  • Verify and maintain internal control checks and records including assets tags to ensure safeguard of company assets
  • Carry out investigations and disciplinary sitting where required and must be objective in judgement.
  • Make recommendations regarding facilities, equipment, personnel, procedures and systems to carry out internal control functions.
  • Report to the Managing Director on all Control and Compliance issues as they arise for prompt actions to be effected.
  • Review and appraise the soundness, effectiveness, and proper application of accounting and financial controls, operational and financial compliance procedures and controls
  • Promote efficient and effective business operations.
  • Serves as liaison for all external audit and regulatory agencies.
  • Review the responses to internal and external audit management non-conformities to ensure that recommendations are implemented and ensure that all action items are resolved
  • Consult with process owners to make recommendations on business and process improvement.
  • Evaluate and test business processes and control to identify areas of risk and internal control improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure there are no wastages and leakages in admin and procurement transaction.
  • Review and ensure compliance to regulations and laws governing the sector.
  • Continuous review of processes in order to ensure that inherent process gaps that could lead to error and fraud are closed out once noticed.
  • Perform variety of internal control tasks as necessary or as requested.

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • B.Sc / B.A in Accounting or Finance, Professional qualification will be an added advantage.
  • In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
  • Minimum of five (5) years cognate experience in a management position and between 35 – 45 years of age.

Job Title: Chief Finance Officer (CFO)

Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Responsibility

  • To perform effective risk management and plan the organization’s financial strategy.
  • Prepare financial reports,monitor accounts,and prepare activity reports and financial forecasts, investigate ways to improve profitability and analyze markets for business opportunities ,such as expansion,mergersor acquisitions.
  • Develop strategies based on financial research and guide senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the company’s financial planning
  • Perform risk management by analysing the organization’s liabilities and investments
  • Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
  • Ensure cash flow is appropriate fo rthe organization’s operations.
  • Supervise all finance personnel
  • Setup and oversee the company’s finance IT system
  • Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
  • Provide and interpret financial information.
  • Delivery of timely financial reports to management for effective decision making.
  • Summarize and forecast the company’s financial report.
  • Direct the preparation offinancial reports such as in come statements balance sheets, trade debtors, trade creditor’s assets,staff debtors e.t.c
  • Prepare and manage financial budget to maintain an effective internal cost control system.
  • Monitor and control the flow of cash receipts and dis bursements to meet the business and investment need of the company.
  • Analyse change and advise accordingly.
  • Formulate strategic and long-term business plans.
  • Research and report on factors influencing business performance.
  • Analyse competitors and market trends.
  • Develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.
  • Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g.auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such.
  • Supervise finance staff.
  • Analyse future earnings and expenses
  • Manage and control the finance and accounting functions in the department.
  • Attend to financial matters that arise across all departments.
  • Ensure effective credit control
  • Improve and implement debt collection processes when there are any over due invoices or payments & initiatelegal procedures if necessary
  • Monthly reconciliation of client invoice payment.
  • Timely remittance of statutory payments.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned.

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • B.Sc. / BA in Accounting or Finance, Professional qualification will be an addedadvantage.
  • In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
  • Minimum of Ten(10) years cognate experience in a management position and between 40-45 years of age.
  • Must be computer literate and have a good management and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proficient in the use of MS office and financial managements of tware
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Analytical skills
  • A wide knowledge of the industry.
  • Membership of the Institute Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.(ICAN)
  • An understanding offinancial management and wider management principles and techniques.
