The Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN) is an organization that is dedicated to improving the socio-economic conditions of women and young girls by working with national and international partners to develop sustainable solutions to underlying factors of female gender marginalization, as well as its consequences. FOMWAN was established over thirty-five years ago and since then, has developed into an international organization with presence in all 36 States of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, as well as West African Countries and Western Europe.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Monitoring and Evaluation

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Requirements / Skills

  • First Degree in a quantitative discipline (preferably in Social Science, Economics, or Statistics)
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies both quantitative & qualitative and proven ability to design monitoring instrumentation tools.
  • Extensive knowledge in experimental program evaluation designsExcellent coordination and communication skills gained through experience in the supervision of field staff.
  • Broad experience in the design and implementation of capacity building activities in M&E.
  • High level of proficiency in Windows Excel and/ or Statistical Software (SPSS, STATA).
  • Advanced skills in data analysis presentation and report writing.
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with a proactive, energetic approach to problem solving.

 

Job Title: Programme Accountant

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Requirements / Skills

  • First Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent work experience. Professional Accounting qualification is an added advantage.
  • Three or more years proven working experience in project Accounting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritize various daily/weekly/monthly tasks and projects while working in a challenging environment.
  • Knowledge of electronic systems (including Cost Point, Cognos, Quicken, QuickBooks, Concur).
  • Innovative, creative, enthusiastic approach.
  • Ability to be detail-orientated and highly organized.

Job Title: Head of Programmes

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Requirements / Skills

  • First Degree in any Social Sciences subject.
  • NGO, Private and public sector experience.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • At least 10 years proven working experience of programme management
  • Experience of leading and managing small teams.
  • Experience of setting up new projects and programmes.
  • Understanding of and working with monitoring and evaluation frameworks
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
