Job Title: Field Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Track and repair signal outages on Gpon including signal leakages on the network in coordination with Engineering, Maintenance and NOC teams
• Ensure sites are attended to within SLA.
• Update dispatch with accurate information pertaining sites and customer feedback
• Ensure quality is attained with reference to industry standards.
• Handle CPES and ensure they are well packaged with all accessories intact in cases of recovery
• Maintain integrity including management of customer premise, company Image and phone etiquette.
• Share feedback on issues pertaining to the network and customer experience.
• Share relevant information with relevant teams including addresses, gaps and network issues
• Respond to customer inquiries about products, work operations, etc. during field contacts.
• Produce and maintain all records related to the assigned tasks
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on customer premises, including among others Coaxial and Optical Fiber cables, disconnection of idle drops, report sagging cables and damaged network devices including Lockboxes/passive and active devices.
• Ensure work tools are well maintained including laptops, Compression tools, motor bikes etc

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

• First degree in a relevant field of study.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design and construction of Fiber Optic Networks, including 2 years of experience at various levels of project management .
• A comparable amount of training, education and experience may be substituted in lieu of some of the minimum qualification
• Good knowledge of GPON protocol (ITU-T G.98x standards) and/or a strong experience of GPON equipment configuration (OLT & ONT) is mandatory
• Considerable knowledge of design and construction practice on GPON fiber optic networks
• Good knowledge of equipment and technologies like
  • Ethernet access networks (VLAN bridging, cross-connect)
  • Ethernet QoS (policing, shaping, IEEE 802.1p, 802.1q, 802.1ad)
  • Measurement equipment’s (protocol emulators, traffic generators, protocol analyzers)
• Ability to operate an OTDR to troubleshoot and test fiber optic cable.
• Ability to troubleshoot large GPON network with minimal supervision.
• Thorough and complete knowledge of rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to electric and communication industry, and the ability to apply them in day-to-day engineering situations
• Considerable knowledge of local and state permitting agencies codes and regulations
• Considerable knowledge of other office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
• Ability to write technical specifications
• Extensive knowledge of creation of fiber optic paths and calculation of loss budgets.
• Considerable ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Ability to plan the work of technical personnel engaged in surveying.

Job Title: Manager, Managed Security Services

Responsibilities

• The Managed Security Services Manager will chart the course for managed security solutions with Market Outlook insight by analyzing and evaluating new solutions in the Managed Security market and then using that knowledge to create and deliver successful product. This position will be responsible for the overall success of deployed security solutions
• The role relies on a person’s deep understanding of Managed Security services such as SASE, SD-WAN, Secured DNS, DDoS etc.  Person should have good understanding of architectures and insight into its networking (SD-WAN) and security components including DDoS.

The MSS Manager’s responsibilities shall also include:

• Market intelligence gathering for existing and new solutions
• Supervise Integration of SD-WAN, SASE, DDoS and other security solutions
• Evaluate and recommend new and emerging cloud security solutions and technologies
• Ability to demonstrate the effectiveness of a range of managed security solutions
• Creating low level design, designing system configuration
• Understanding customer needs and design solutions to meet customer needs
• Securing client network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
• Creating hardware Bill of Materials (BOM), including facilities BOM that are required to implement the security devices
• Creating technical implementation plan to implement security solutions
• Directing system installation and OEM engagements
• Providing remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation
• Investigating faults in the network
• Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans
• Interpret Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and apply them to appropriate network devices
• Participate in tier 2 and tier 3 security operations support

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

• First Degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Computer Software/Computer Systems Engineering, Electrical / Electronic Engineering
• Consistent implementation of managed security solutions at different levels
• At least 7 years experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability testing and auditing
• At least 7 years of system, network and/or application security experience
• Have at least 3-4 years of management experience
• Have led a diverse team of individuals
• Have a solid mastery of LAN, WAN, and & Cloud and Security (L4-L7, CASB, SSO, IPS, DNS Security, etc.) technologies
• Knowledge of network routing and security protocols and implementations: TCP/IP, SSL, IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN, and VLANs
• Analyze events and logs using security event management tools
• Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security
• Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols)
• Strong understanding of a process driven environment
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging/troubleshooting skills
• CCSP or Security+ certification or equivalent
• Clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas, including communication and presentation skills

• Develop senior management relationships with partners, customers, and business groups

• Security Services Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, integration, configuration, development, and support of all stages of the security services (SD-WAN, SASE, DDoS etc.)  process.
• This includes troubleshooting and optimizing already existing networks to get them up to speed. You may also need to provide demonstrations, assisting the sales teams with technical experience, and helping to cut costs and streamline operations.
