We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Abuja

Job Description

  • Lead, manage and coordinate day-to-day planning, implementation and management of project activities according to the project document and project log frame
  • He/she will manage projects in a manner that ensures the achievement of client requirements.
  • He/she will serve as the primary point of contact on assigned projects and will report to the Managing Partner.
  • Develop and implement project plans with technical specialists and stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation
  • Provide technical support and guidance to ensure that projects are designed, planned, and conducted to high standards
  • Ensure monitoring system and tools developed are used by project staff to track project progress and capture learning
  • Ensure project compliance with all legal and client requirements
  • Provide regular reports to the Managing Partner as per guidelines, including preparation and consolidation of project monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Monitor the context and carry out adjustments to project plans and management on an ongoing basis in light of changing context, resources and opportunities
  • Monitor project expenditure against budget, and preparation and submission of required project progress and financial reports regularly
  • Ensure project results and budget spending are consistent with client requirements
  • Consistently ensure achievement of project goals.
  • Provide technical oversight of projects by ensuring that project activities are effectively and efficiently implemented.
  • Provide timely and accurate project reports and other contractual deliverables to the Managing Partner as required.
  • Handle projects in a manner that ensures conformity to the project goals and deliverables.
  • Ensure that project activities are executed successfully, completed within time frames
  • Ensure project scope consistently meets project objectives.
  • Ensure timely writing of project reports for review and after that onward submission to Managing Partner
  • Sound knowledge of Project Management
  • Experience with managing project budgets
  • Experience with working with teams across diverse locations (local & international).
  • Demonstrated experience in providing capacity building to clients
  • Demonstrated a high level of social-cultural sensitivity when dealing with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and tact, to be able to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders including, community leaders, beneficiary’s key population and government officials.
  • Understand Communication Strategies.
  • Proven ability to develop work plans and implement the same.
  • Experience with liaising with Clients.
  • PMP and relevant Project Management Certifications will be an added advantage.

Job Title: Policy Advocate

Location: Abuja

Description

  • The Policy Advocate is responsible for leading the creation and implementation of clear and comprehensive Policy Strategies aligned to specific campaign plans
  • He/she will develop policy and advocacy approaches and will be responsible for providing high-level policy analysis on a number of identified key issues
  • Identify ways to address key institutional and partner capacity needs that will accelerate progress towards policy and advocacy goals
  • Provide leadership in the development of strategic plans and budgets for all Advocacy campaigns
  • Conduct engagements through existing platforms to strengthen strategic communications and stakeholder engagement
  • Determine communication methods that will generate global support required for reform and accountability
  • Ensure that evidence-based data are generated for informed decision making, and knowledge and lessons learned are effectively managed and shared
  • Coordinate activities and communicating same among a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Produce a wide range of high-quality written outputs for various audiences, including well-targeted policy briefings, key messages, blogs and other outputs
  • Foster strong relationships and work closely with internal and external stakeholders in policy and advocacy work to keep abreast of key policy changes and relevant external issues and to maximise their role as advocates for change
  • Ensure strong linkages with the Monitoring and Evaluations team so that advocacy and policy approaches are based on evidence
  • Contribute to quality program delivery and innovation in line with the documented plan
  • Analyse and provide programmatic inputs into financial reports
  • Effective use of procedures and relevant protocols that are necessary for carrying out project activities
  • Support the M&E and appropriate use of all procurement and logistics infrastructure for effective implementation of project activities
  • Facilitate training, draft agendas for meetings, prepare presentations and participate in the development of timely completion and review technical reports
  • Development of short- and long-term governance and advocacy agendas
  • Provide technical inputs into the design and implementation of project activities, development of advocacy strategies, delivery of capacity building activities, development and review of advocacy tools, conducting social mobilisation activities and development of relevant communication materials
  • Identifying technical working groups to partner with at the state and federal levels
  • Sound experience in Policy Advocacy
  • Proven experience in developing project/campaign plans
  • Proven experience in handling Advocacy Campaigns in the NGO sector
  • Sound understanding of Policy Strategies and Analysis

Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist

Location: Abuja

Job Description

  • The M&E specialist will be responsible for the direction and development of programme monitoring and delivering high standards of monitoring and evaluation and reporting on project and programme results.
  • He/she will continuously develop, learn and deliver robust data, processes, analysis, presentation and learning to demonstrate the impact of projects.
  • He/she will ensure effective monitoring systems, tools and practices are in place to determine a project or programme’s progress, challenges and achievements against internal and external targets and quality standards
  • Create a culture and practice of reliable planning, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning and reporting
  • Support project evaluations, baseline and end line assessments
  • Development of M&E data tools for high level aggregation and reporting of outcomes to demonstrate programme effectiveness and impact
  • Disseminate evidence and key learning that will contribute to knowledge management and improvement of future practice and design
  • Provide programme information and analysis that articulates the organisation’s programmatic delivery position in light of internal and external targets, results and priorities. Ensure this is communicated in a timely manner according to reporting processes and timeframes.
  • Support the oversight of ongoing projects
  • Proactively work with the M&E team and key stakeholders to resolve and/or disseminate key risks, issues and best practice identified through the programme monitoring work.
  • Articulate key risks and issues to the appropriate people, ensuring these risks and issues are understood and acted upon.
  • Design M&E frameworks for new project design and funding proposals that demonstrate accountability and reflect good practice.
  • Lead on the development and delivery of internal project M&E processes, during start-up and close out by collaborating with internal stakeholders
  • Build and assess M&E capacity and support the adoption of relevant M&E tools and methodologies to embed accountability to beneficiaries and partners and enhance M&E practice and quality.
  • Develop and test systems and processes to respond to the demands of adaptive programming.
  • Support the integration of successful approaches in routine M&E practice.
  • Plan and conduct internal quality standards assessments of project teams and project cycle management (PCM) practice.
  • Keep under review internal quality standards assessment tools for PCM and thematic areas.
  • Ensure systems and data processes remain in line with programme M&E requirements and are continuously improving.
  • Design innovative and participatory monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools to assess outcomes and impact of programmes
  • Remain up to date on best practice and emerging innovations in the international M&E field.

Requirements

  • Experience in Monitoring & Evaluation within the NGO Sector
  • Experience and skill in guiding, advising and training diverse groups on the design and use of M&E tools and processes.
  • Experience in conducting and/or managing reviews and evaluations of projects that use both quantitative and qualitative monitoring and impact data.
  • Ability to assess needs and gaps in M&E capacity and plan programmes of work to build capacity in complex environments.
  • Highly organised with ability to manage large, complex pieces of work with multiple stakeholders and to produce key deliverables on time.
