Job Title: Physical Education Teacher
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Purpose of Post
- To plan, deliver and monitor a coordinated programme of high quality sports activities, which are progressive and reflective of the needs of the learners and support the aim of increasing sports participation by ALL Learners at Noble Hall Leadership Academy for Girls.
Responsibility
- To plan and implement well-structured and progressive programmes that meets the needs of all learners. The programmes will link the school and the wider community and will aim to provide increased opportunities for learners to participate in sport and physical activity.
- To plan and deliver a range of sporting activities and to have a focus on out of school hours sporting activities.
- Health and Safety checks on a daily, weekly and annual basis.
- To organise inter-school and intra-school sporting competitions.
- Maintain appropriate records, including digital records and prepare monitoring reports to show progress.
- Demonstrate a highly professional approach to everyday work and work independently demonstrating initiative and pro-activity
- To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage learners to participate in sport and physical activity.
- To carry out duties in accordance with the school’s policies, including equal opportunities, child protection, health and safety at work.
- Contribute to the assessment of learners’ progress and the maintenance of appropriate records
- Organize and lead a range of after school clubs.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification.
Job Title: English and Literature Teacher
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Sector: Education
Purpose of role
- To plan, deliver, and monitor a coordinated program of high-quality academic tutoring, which is progressive and reflective of the needs of the learners.
- She/he must support the aim of improving the academic success of all Learners at Noble Hall Leadership Academy for Girls.
Responsibilities
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible.
- Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations in one or more subjects such as English, Literature, or any other assigned subject.
- Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students’ progress.
- Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by school administrative regulations.
- Prepare students for later grades by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks.
- Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic problems, or special academic interests.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials, in order to prevent injuries and damage.
- Prepare for assigned classes, and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisors.
- Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations.
- Practice teaching by differentiation to ensure that all learners are catered to.
- Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators in order to resolve students’ behavioral and academic problems.
- Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of states and schools.
- Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
- Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Prepare reports on students and activities as required by administration.
- Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers, or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities.
- Administer standardized ability and achievement tests, and interpret results to determine students’ strengths and areas of need.
- Attend staff meetings, and serve on committees as required.

Job Title: SEN Coordinator
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Sector: Education
Job Purpose
- Whole-school teaching and learning responsibility in the area of SEN Inclusion.
Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning:
- Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for SEN learners.
- Monitor teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of SEN learners.
- Promote Inclusion best practice and contribute to the aims and ethos of the school
Recording and Assessment:
- Set targets for raising achievement among SEN learners and other groups as appropriate.
- Collect and interpret specialist assessment and performance data and share with other staff as appropriate.
- Set up systems for identifying SEN, and assessing and reviewing SEN provision. This includes creating and monitoring Individual Educational Plans (IEPs), provision maps with class teachers.
- Update the Principal and Directors on the effectiveness of provision for SEN children.
- Keep parents informed about their child’s progress through individual meetings and at parents’ meetings.
- Assist the Exams Officer in making applications for additional support, time and/or specific papers for end of Key Stage assessments.
- Maintain SEN register.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of provision.
Leadership:
- Provide training opportunities for parents and teachers to learn about Inclusion, including whole-school Inset.
- Disseminate good practice in Inclusion across the school.
- Identify resources needed to meet the needs of SEN learners
- Work with the Principal and Directors on the strategic development of SEN & Inclusion, including reviewing and formulating appropriate policies.
- Support learner progress meetings, recording agreed provision within provision maps.
- To keep abreast of developments in SEN (e.g. research, changes to the law) and inform staff and directors as necessary.
- Lead CPD on inclusion matters as needed across the school.
- Model good practice in teaching learners with SEN.
Other and Responsibilities:
- To willingly undertake any reasonable task requested by the Principal from time to time to support the safeguarding of staff and learners.
- To be willing to undertake the role of Designated Child Protection Co-ordinator.
Requirements
