Overview
- The Director, Membership & Branch Development heads a critical department in the organization.
- The director oversees all aspects of membership development, including recruitment of new members, retention of existing members and supervision of the regional offices; develops a plan and executes strategies and initiatives to grow the membership base; develops strategies for the creation of new branches all over the country.
Job Summary
- Oversee all aspects of business development, including recruitment of new members, retention of existing members and supervision of the regional offices
- Develop, plan and execute strategies and initiatives to grow business through expansion of membership
- Develop Strategies for the creation of new branches of the organization all over the country
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of an approved business development plan that aligns with the strategic objectives of the organization
- Develop, plan and execute strategies and initiatives to grow the business through expansion of membership
- Work with the committees and collaborate with the branch offices to organize membership drive efforts across the regions
- Liaise with departments e.g. Research and Advocacy and Training and Capacity Development to leverage programmes and activities to increase membership acquisition
- Perform any other task as assigned by the CEO
Education and Work Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or any other related field
- A postgraduate degree in any related field will be an added advantage
- Member of a relevant professional body e.g. NIM, etc.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience, with at 1- 3 years in a Director position
Competency and Skills Requirements:
- Ability to think strategically and holistically
- Ability to proactively anticipate client’s needs and develop supporting programmes/solutions
- Ability to lead a team of diverse skills & competencies
- Excellent communication, business presentation, persuasion, and marketing skills
- Excellent Project Management and Budgeting skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional and inter-regional teams
- Ability to manage relationships and communications with the media, government officials, international institutions and business groups
- Ability to identify strategic issues, analyze them and proffer relevant solutions
- Digital savviness
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools.
