Job Title: General Procurement Supervisor
Location: Yola, Adamawa
Responsibilities
- Develop relevant documentation, systems and processes for all procurement activities including requisitions, vendor selection, prequalification, evaluation and eventual award of contracts (for goods and services respectively)
- Ensure timely and excellent delivery of requested products, goods or services within the plant, ensuring that each procurement request is value for money and attracts zero complaints from project owners;
- Provide relevant support in the organization of tender documents, receipt and evaluation of tenders, quotations, bids or proposals
- Support the procurement manager in commercial and contractual negotiations when required and in full compliance with global practices;
- Support in budget management and reviewing of requisitions;
- Coordinate vendor management, update suppliers’ database and coordinate supplier evaluation and selection
- Provide useful and timely market intelligence by carrying out periodic market research for pricing, availability of goods and services as well as the global position of such products;
- Maintain all electronic and hardcopy files and records to ensure proper accountability;
- Perform first level resolution of pricing discrepancies, quality claims, and missing products issues
- Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.
- Keep informed of best practices in procurement procedures locally and internationally in order to ensure continuous improvement on all procurement practices.
- Ensure best practice, continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learnt are imbibed amongst other members of the team;
- Set clear directions and expectations for the other team members to ensure that the customers’ needs and expectations are fully satisfied
- Support in-house education, promotion and awareness programs relating to sound Procurement practice and strategies;
- Provide advice to the Procurement Manager on any relevant industry news;.
Qualification & Experience

Job Title: HSE Manager
Location: Yola, Adamawa

Responsibilities
- Position as the Health, Safety and Environmental subject matter expert for the Rice mill, Regulators and Clients.
- Drive the development and implementation of the Health, Safety and Environmental Program and Plans.
- Advise all stakeholders on how to promote and cultivate established and agreed Health, Safety and Environmental program and culture.
- Measure the effectiveness of HSE control initiatives used across operations in the mill and direct HSE staff in the implementation of the Health and Safety Program.
- Audit all functions for Health, Safety and Environmental procedure implementation, and compliance with Corporate, Governmental Agencies and Client requirements.
- Manage and assist with the development of site-specific Health, Safety and Environmental plans
- Conduct root-cause analysis of any Health, Safety and Environmental incidents, identifying trends and implementing improvement plans.
- Lead accident / incident investigations and carry out analysis of accident / incident statistics
- Provide leadership and direction to all Departments and Project Managers on all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental topics.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with Clients, Site Managers, Government Agencies, Representatives and Subcontractors.

Job Title: Paddy Inventory Supervisor
Location: Yola, Adamawa
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Obtain probe sample from each delivery truck and check for various product quality characteristics including insects.
- Manage inventory in tanks by providing inventory information to millers; label tanks daily with product variety; write tank information on board in the mill.
- Examine milled rice samples, and customer standards.
- Write reports on samples collected and document accordingly.
- Direct trucks to the appropriate mill for unloading.
- Obtain load white tag and verify variety, warehouse, and tank number.
- Act as weigh master when necessary.
- Distinguish paddy rice classes; identify quality standards such as damage, stained, etc.
- Oversee the cleaning of paddy tanks, drags, elevators and cement area around pit.
- Regularly check gates at top of tanks to ensure opening/closing mechanisms are operating correctly.
- Ensure that the equipments and work area are clean and tidy at all times.
- Operate paddy sample dryer.
- Communicate with miller to determine tank in use.
- Use vacuum probe for the sampling of silos, warehouse and outside storage areas as needed.
- Take inventory of paddy tanks and report on whether the tank is empty or full.
- Track daily appraisal results.
- Perform rough rice appraisals.
- Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Education & Qualification
- Minimum of 4- 5 years relevant experience of rice paddy inventory.

Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Location: Yola, Adamawa
Responsibilities
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures, protocols, and other work-related policies.
- Develop appropriate systems, processes for the ceaseless functioning of the warehouse and oversee the warehouse to ensure stock availability and quality, control inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system.
- Supervise the receiving, monitoring, and maintaining of stock in the warehouse to ensure sufficient stocks are available at any given time to meet the requirements as per the company guidelines.
- Supervise the use and daily update of all inventory related items on the ERP software (SAP, CRM etc.)
- Translate business requirements into a service offering that improves operational efficiency, productivity.
- Ensure goods, tools and equipment are stored appropriately and good condition to avoid untimely depreciation and damage.
- Regulate movement of items and personnel in and out of the warehouse to ensure uninterrupted (without affecting the process) operations.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, appraising job results, and organization of work schedules.
- Carryout frequent internal training for team members for continuous improvement.

Job Title: Logistics Supervisor
Location: Yola, Adamawa

Responsibilities
- Develop a robust and detailed logistics plan including all relevant documentation, systems and processes to ensure proper coordination and delivery of all logistics requests
- Manage and coordinate the flow, movement and storage of all raw materials, raw and finished paddy, trucks and other machinery within the mill
- Ensure thorough processing of all logistics demands through proper planning, effective control mechanisms and adherence to established logistics procedures
- Ensure proper tracking and recording of incoming goods and ensure proper processing of damaged goods scheduled to be returned
- Organize warehouse activities by labeling goods, defining delivery routes with truck drivers and warehouse staff and processing shipments.
- Manage the entire logistic order cycle so as to enhance customer satisfaction, ensure sustainability of the process and cost optimization
- Plan the layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering factors such as size, weight, expiration, special storage conditions and other related factors of items stored.
- Supervise the daily stockroom activities including the timely processing of incoming items in the warehouse and adherence to all requirements for transportation and receiving of items in the stockroom
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions and physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking, to distribution.
- Supervise outgoing distribution/logistics activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of products.
- Maintain a detailed vendor database and update database as required
- Work closely with the procurement manager to develop new strategies for streamlining logistics processes to reduce cost and improve efficiencies
- Notify the relevant units of the maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and material
- Support in handling preventive maintenance and inspection for defects whilst notifying the maintenance team or external contractors for repair
- Supervise the administrative functions of warehouse, including scheduling shift, approving time, assigning jobs to the logistics team.
- Set clear directions and expectations for the other logistics team members to ensure that the all internal customers’ needs and expectations are fully satisfied

Job Title: Production Manager
Location: Yola, Adamawa
Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate the daily operations of the rice plant as well as the task delivery of the milling, parboiling and boiler units;
- Drive the implementation and adherence to all guiding policies, processes and procedures, ensuring that each batch of rice reflects the agreed flavor, texture and appearance;
- Ensure proper planning and organizing of production shifts and schedules ensuring that all aspects of operations are efficiently handled.
- Maintain an effective and robust production plan to capture job progress per shift, inventory levels, cost and other pertinent details that support optimal rice production
- Control all aspects of rice transfer, handling, milling, bulk storage and packing ensuring the achievement of daily & monthly capacity utilization
- Monitor daily, weekly and monthly resource requirements and effectively allocate these resources to reduce waste and support optimal production
- Constantly review and analyze production costs and paddy inventory to establish areas for improvement
- Control final production activities, ensuring products are stacked and stored in an appropriate manner to prevent spoilage.
- Coordinate and maintain effective safety plans to ensure all health and safety procedures and regulations within the rice plant are adopted and implemented
- Establish, maintain and ensure adherence to all outlined quality control and quality assurance processes as it relates to rice milling operations, including implementation of effective hygiene, pest control and rodent control program
- Support with negotiations for the procurement of paddy and other general materials ensuring that the prices are within agreed Budgets
- Ensure safe operations of the rice mill machine and drive adherence to agreed repair and routine maintenance schedules

- Ensure team adherence to contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and partnership agreements

- Experience in large scale rice production or similar industries will be an added advantage
- Experience in project and operations management.
