Job Title: Training Manager – Transportation

Job Summary and Objectives

The Training School Manager is saddled with the major responsibility of overseeing all of the company’s training school activities and ensuring prompt graduation of trainees who have the requisite skills to become the company’s bus drivers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Development of a robust training curriculum which will be adopted and serve as a guide in training prospective Drivers.
Development of organizational training strategy as well as overseeing its implementation and assessing its outcomes.
Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them.
Design, develop and implement a system for tracking driver trainees’ learning progress, attendance and absenteeism.
Identify and close driving competency deficiencies/gaps by proffering tailored corrective training programmes as required.
Review and Optimization of training processes for efficiency purposes.
Monitor and review the effectiveness of training programmes and preparing periodical progress reports.
Ensure effective management of the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver seamless training.
Manage all admission, registration and graduation of all driver trainees.
Receipt and effective resolution of complaints lodge by Driver trainees.
Maintain and enhance enrolment procedures and processes.
Ensure prompt recording and reporting of drivers’ training school activities.
Ensure the training school demonstrator buses are sent for routine maintenance as at when due and the buses are also fueled when needed to.
Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.
The Training Manager is expected to place his/her full working capabilities at the disposal of the company, and based on work exigencies, the company reserves the right to assign additional duties and responsibilities to this role.

Required Qualifications and Work Experience

A minimum 10 (ten) years’ experience as a Driver instructor with a minimum of three out of the ten years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Higher National Diploma (HND) / Bachelor’s degree (BSC) in Social Science or related disciplines from an accredited education institution.
MSC in Social Science or related disciplines will be an added advantage.
