Go to the Nigeria Federal Road Safety Commission capture centre in any state that you reside in Nigeria
You will be required to present your Driving school certificate, learner’s permit and birth certificate.
You will be presented with Nigeria drivers licence application form to fill. You will be required to enter your full name, your height, blood group, date of birth, state, local govt, mother maiden name, phone number of next of kin etc You will also have to indicate the number of years you want to apply for; 3 or 5 years.
After filling the form, the officer will give you the FIRSC account number to go and pay into at the bank. You will go to the bank with a print-out of the driver’s licence form with the details provided and make a deposit of N10,450 into the bank account, for 5 years validity or .N6,350 for 3 years validity. The bank will need your drivers licence application id which is on the application form. So, ensure you have the form with you when you go to the bank for payment. The bank will give you a stamped teller and a payment acknowledge slip printed on plain paper.
Proceeded to the VIO office where you will obtained the VIO test certificate for N1,000. From there, to eye clinic my eye test. You will paid N500 for that and you will be issued the eye test certificate.
Go back to the FRSC capture centre with photocopies of my certificates and payment slip. Submitted the driver’s license application form, learner’s permit, bank teller & printout out plus photocopies of your driving school certificate, VIO test certificate, eye test certificate & birth certificate.
Wait for some minutes, you will be invited to the capture room for your photo, fingerprint and signature to be captured.
After that, you will be issued a temporary Nigerian driver’s licence, which will be valid for just two months. You are supposed to get your permanent Nigeria drivers licence before the expiration of the two months but if it’s not ready before then, you will have to go back to the office so they can extend the validity of the temporary driver’s licence.
