Job Title: Senior Front-End Engineer

Contract Full time, permanent
Reporting to Senior Engineering Manager
Role Overview
- We are looking for a skilled and resourceful Senior Front-End Engineering professional based in any of the locations above to join our rapidly growing team.
Main Responsibilities / Deliverables
- Innovating, developing, maintaining, and contributing to the company’s existing codebase and associated applications
- Synergizing with engineering leads to assist with architecture decisions for application and supporting infrastructure
- Mentoring, training, and supporting other engineers to help develop in-house front-end development skills.
The Person
- Experience Preferably with a minimum of 5 years working as a Senior Frontend Engineer
- Proven proficiency JavaScript, Typescript specifically React
- Good knowledge on APIs, specifically using them as data sources for frontend applications
- Familiarity with deploying and managing frontend applications on the cloud in an automated way
- Good knowledge of current JavaScript standards (ES6+)
- Proven proficiency using automated JavaScript testing frameworks Proficient with CSS3 and related tools/methodologies such as Less and/or Sass, CSS modules, CSS-in-JS etc.
Other Skills and Traits:
- A strong and flexible work ethic
- Good knowledge of software deployment tooling and orchestration
- Good knowledge of cloud providers, especially AWS
- Good knowledge of source control using Git
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring and alerting tools
- Familiarity with the agile development methodology specifically Scrum
- Familiarity with DevOps principles, especially the 12 Factor App and Infrastructure as Code
- Familiarity with container architecture, especially Docker
- Preference to participate in pair-programming and using GitHub pull requests to review the code of others
- Confidence in refactoring and working with both new and existing codebases
