Furniture Factory Machinist in a Furniture-Manufacturing Company

Greenfield Consulting Limited – Our client, a Furniture-Manufacturing Company, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Furniture Factory Machinist

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Using panel saw machines
• Using sawing machines, mortice machines, moulding machines, routers (which cut complex shapes), planes and drills
• Calculating how much wood you need and selecting the right kind
• Reading and understanding technical drawings
• Making jigs and templates for each task
• Cutting and shaping wood
• Treating wood with preservatives
• Cleaning and servicing machines and sharpening or replacing blades.

Job Skills & Qualifications Required

• SSCE, NABTEB or Trade Certificate
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience as a Machinist in a furniture making factory
• The ability to stand, walk and move for up to eight hours per day
• Previous experience with furniture manufacturing.
