Job Summary
- Our hotel manager oversees our hotel operations, manages and directs the daily operations and activities at the hotel and its staff.
- Duties include designing and monitoring budgets, marketing , coordinating and administering hotel services including the front office (reception, concierge, reservations), food and beverage operations and housekeeping.
- While taking a strategic overview and planning to maximize profits, our hotel manager must also pay attention to details, setting the example for staff, to enable them deliver a standard of service and presentation that meets guests’ needs and expectations.
Responsibilities
- Planning and organizing accommodation, catering and other hotel services.
- Promoting and marketing the business.
- Managing budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditure.
- Maintaining statistical and financial records, setting and achieving sales and profit targets; analyzing sales figures and devising marketing and revenue management strategies.
- Training and monitoring employees.
- Planning work schedules for individuals and teams.
- Meeting and greeting customers.
- Dealing with customer complaints and comments.
- Addressing problems and troubleshooting; ensuring events and conferences run smoothly.
- Business and people management.
- Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings.
- Ensuring security is effective.
- Carrying out inspections of the facility and its services
Requirements
Candidatemust:
- Have a good Degree. (Qualification in hotel management is a plus)
- Have extensive hotel management experience and 3-5 years relevant cognate experience in a similar role.
- Have experience in Hotel, Restaurant and Bar Management
- Have an impressive corporate personality with strong management skills and a keen eye for details.
- Have a clear understanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines.
- Have working knowledge of MS Office.
- Display excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset.
- Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Be reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Display outstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail.
- Be able to use hotel management software.
- Display strong leadership qualities.
