Logistics Operations Manager in a 24/7 Online Food Delivery Services Company

We are a 24/7 Online Food Delivery Services company that deliver food to customers quickly from our delivery hub using our fleet of bikes and partner bikes from last mile Logistic Companies.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Logistics Operations Manager

About The Role

• We are looking for intelligent and resourceful individuals to join our logistics team full time.
• You will be working alongside a very experienced, passionate and diverse team.

This Role Involves:

• Reaching out, building and maintaining relationships with last-mile partners (delivery companies).
• Hiring, training & managing dispatch riders on a day to day basis.
• Weekly on-boarding sessions and trainings with riders.
• Supervising & providing support to ensure deliveries are quick and successful.
• Ensuring availability of riders and partners at all times.
• Ensuring riders and bikes are in perfect working condition before operating hours (including relevant documents/permits, protective wear and uniforms)
• Compiling daily and weekly reports to ensure growth and lower complaints.
• Encouraging & motivating riders while ensuring feedback is brought to management for rider welfare & department improvements.
• Staying up to date and keeping up with industry trends, requirements, innovations, etc.

Preferred Requirements

• Excellent communication skills (written & spoken)
• 2 – 5+ years experience in logistics operations management.
• Good team player/ leader
• Up-to-date knowledge of current government legislation for dispatch riders / companies.
• Must be very familiar with Lagos roads (Google Maps, Unmapped directions etc)
• Technology savvy and experience with Microsoft Office, mobile apps and more.
• Must be a smart problem solver
• High level of attention to detail
• High level of integrity & honesty.
