Satellite / IP VSAT Engineer in a Leading Multinational Telecoms Company

A leading multinational company active in telecoms, is seeking distinguished, reputable and experienced candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Satellite / IP VSAT Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain satellite network services, equipment. and devices
• Provide technical support to manage satellite remote network systems
• Carry out Day to Day satellite terminals. and related network elements monitoring and health checks
• Documents network problems and resolution f or future reference
• Runs network applications testing, and may alsd include running performance tests as required
• Requires monitoring and troubleshooting of platform and OS based problems. network infrastructure and connectivity issues.
• Provide escalation support for other support organizations
• Willing to be part of the on-call rotation and able to work as a part of the overnight shift on a regular basis or as at when due and assigned for satellite NOC/hub operations

Qualifications

• Minimum of First Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or any other related technical field.
• A Post Graduate Degree in Engineering or Project Management will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years cognate experience in satellite technology. implementation and operations.
• Experience working with satellite installation and projectimplementotions.
• Vast knowledge in hybrid satellite network configuration.
• Should have an understanding of Fiber/SDH/PDH/DWDMtechnology.
• Technical knowledge of common routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP etcj, lPv6, VPN etc across a large network.
