Job Title: Consultant – ICT

Contract duration: 3 months
Job Summary
- The successful candidate will coordinate and deliver various ICT related services in accordance with established agency ICT policies, procedures, and service standards to support high-quality programs providing protection to civilians in conflict.
- You will provide responsive, professional service and technical support to CIVIC staff and Consultants to ensure efficient operation and use of CIVIC information sharing, communication, and collaboration technologies.
Job Responsibilities
- Install and configure new laptops for staff members or consultant.
- Prepare and install standard IT environment (e.g., laptops & peripheral equipment)
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software, using standard business and administrative packages; recommends and/or performs upgrades on systems
- Respond to support requests, diagnosing equipment and configuration issues with a variety of applications on desktops and laptops remotely or directly on the user-side
- Install, assemble, and configure peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware
- Assist in the installation of network infrastructure including cabling, communications equipment, and telecommunications hardware
- Assist in the organization of presentations, audio, and videoconferencing (equipment setup,
- configuration and testing), working closely with end-users to resolve specific problems maintaining a high level of end-user satisfaction
- Troubleshoot problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, e- mail, network, and peripheral equipment problems
- Work with procurement staff on the procurement of IT hardware and software
- Performing asset inventory activities as needed
- Communicate with vendors to resolve technical problems with computing software and hardware
- Train other staff on software and hardware
- Work with CIVIC HQ IT staff to configure user accounts, attain licenses, and provide access to CIVIC resources
- Perform other duties of similar nature or level
Educational Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT-related fields (Computer Science / Engineering, Computer Networking, Programming, and Information Systems)required.
- Significant work experience in a directly related field combined with appropriate training/certificates may substitute for degree.
- Desired certifications include Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate or equivalent, Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent, equivalent and ITIL Foundation Certified.
- Minimum of three years’ work experience in a position with similar responsibilities.
- Experience in introduction, design, implementation, and adoption of relevant technology and data management tools.
- Demonstrated capacity in management of network/server software and hardware devices and platforms.
- Grasp of complex network, security, mobile, desktop, backup, application, and database technologies.
- Good relationship management skills. Ability to relate to people at all levels internally and externally with a strong client-service focus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical ideas and concerns in a non-technical manner.
- Strategic, analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving skills, with capacity to see the big picture, make sound decisions.
- Able to maintain confidential information.
- Proactive, resourceful, solutions-oriented, and results-oriented.
- Basic understanding of business analysis concepts and best practice.
- Demonstrated experience building ICT capacity with professional staff.
Language Required:
- Fluency in oral and written English and Hausa is required.

- External -Donors Representatives & Vendors.
