A foremost and highly progressive Print Media Company based in Lagos with branches across the country, requires the services of experienced professionals to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Engineering

Location: Lagos Headquarters and Remote Coordination of Outstation Offices

Scope of Duties

• Overall Responsibility of all Engineering associates, activities and press machines.
• Ensures quality printing, quality control, press efficiency and maintenance
• Create arid implement best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve press and machine operations
• Operate a process for safe selection of external contractors in conjunction with the Purchasing unit to ensure all contracts are regularly reviewed for the best value.
• Report on engineering activities regularly to the Managing Director.
• Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety, engineering and quality standards and procedures are adhered to.
• Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
• Prepare the annual Engineering budget and forecast all Capital expenditures for the company’s effective financial decision.

Qualifications

• Educated to Degree level (preferably Master’s Degree) in a relevant Engineering discipline. Fellow or Chartered Member of an industry-related Professional Body.
• At least fifteen (15) years demonstrable experience of leading an engineering function with proven track records in a printing or newspaper firm and hands-on technical know-how in managing, maintaining, servicing and repairing major newspaper production machines comprising Goss, Manugraph, CTPs machines and other major press parts and machines.
• Candidate should be vast in the management of all industrial power generating engines which include, gas, diesel and petrol.
