Job Description

  • Produce the detailed development and management plan for Broadband solutions
  • Undertake the detailed, technical delivery of all broadband requirements in conjunction with all other NWG units
  • Understanding of the interworking relationship between various broadband technologies like 3G, Wi-Fi, FWA, LTE, FIBER and the convergence roadmap.
  • Collaborate with the IT broadband operations Manager and supply required inputs for timely development of the broadband deployment plan.
  • Manage the implementation of the Broadband strategy in such a way as to ensure technology evolution capability
  • Overall demand adherence to timelines
  • Adherence to demand management processes and policies
  • Business satisfaction with demand management process
  • On-time releases and functionality delivery as per plan
  • Post-implementation review and audits
  • Prepare the CAPEX budget for equipment and rollout of the data network.
  • Ensure that the implementation of the data network is synchronized with data demand forecast
  • Manage the detailed planning of broadband network to ensure that sufficient capacity is provided to support marketing’s subscriber forecast and adequate headroom in line with NWG’s strategy.
  • Manage demand budget and determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for project.
  • Balance supply and demand in accordance with supply constraints and customer priorities
  • Provide input into the annual planning process by providing a view of committed manpower and committed delivery
  • Maintain Agile practice and build strong partnerships across the business, vendors, and traditional IT leaderships and drive the culture of Agile throughout the partner ecosystem.
  • Coordinate all Infrastructure Providers, Customers, Vendors & Various Cluster teams, as well as resolve escalated issues.
  • Interface with other stakeholder teams in MTNN to deliver on the Fixed broadband strategy.

Requirements
Education:

  • First Degree in ICT, Telecommunications Engineering or related discipline
  • Fluent in English

Experience:

  • 6 – 13 years’ experience which includes:
  • 5+ years of experience in the Fixed Network industry.
  • Understanding of FTTH Optical Infrastructure for fibre and civil in line with ITU-T SG15 standardization.
  • Understanding of Fixed Core, Distribution and Access networks architecture.
  • Experience in the integration of Fixed Networks to OSS and BSS tools for incident management and self-service options.
  • 4 Years Technical Experience in Planning of Fixed Network Elements
  • Proficiency in FTTX, WTTX/FWA, IP/MPLS and Transport Network Design.
  • Experience with Fixed Voice and VOIP Telephony.
  • Project Management Experience.
  • Experience in MapInfo/TEOCO Asset/GIS Tools/AutoCAD will be useful
  • Planning and spectrum management experience.
  • Knowledge of FTTX evolution i.e. GPON, NGPON and XGPON.
  • Experience in forecasting long term network growth and providing input to the company’s business plan.
  • Technical and Business reporting experience.
