Applied Engineering Technology Initiative (AETI) – We are an engineering consulting company, whose focus has been on rendering the following services: Technical Training, Recruitment of technical Personnel, Outsourcing of Technical Personnel and rendering engineering consulting services to the Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Telecommunications, engineering services, Hospitality Industry, etc.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Locations: Lagos and Ogun

Job Description

  • The Business Development Manager will be focused on growing the company by employing marketing, product, and sales tactics.
  • The role carries significant responsibility to help deliver the growth targets of the company and offers the opportunity to expand as the employee demonstrates their effectiveness.
  • The job holder will also be responsible for overseeing the daily management of the Sales & Business Development team.
  • Execute winning sales and business development strategies for the business in the Private and Public Sectors in order to drive sales and boost revenue.
  • Close the deal; Deploy various selling and negotiation strategies to ensure that the deal is closed with a win-win for the business and the customer.
  • Develop proposals in response to request for proposals (RFPs) and deliver sales presentations.
  • For newly acquired businesses, workwith relevant teams / colleagues to support customers through the transition from project completion through enrollment phase.
  • Develop new relationship with institutional accounts by planning and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives.
  • Assist in the delivery of year-on-year revenue growth for the company through the development and implementation of successful sales strategies, value-add pricing initiatives, proactive outreach, and engagement events
  • Lead new business meetings and close sale

Requirements
We would like to meet you if you:

  • Are a Graduate with 7 – 10 years broad experience gained across sales – particularly critical is previous experience in technical sales or training environment
  • Have a high success rate in securing new business opportunities in a services’ sales environment across wide client base
  • Can evangelize the business and personally help close deals
  • Have the ability establish and foster partnerships and relationships with key customers both externally and internally
  • Are able to maintain control of diverse business operations, and an experienced and efficient leader with excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics
  • Have the passion to network, build relations with customers and improve sales
  • Have strong negotiating skills and knowledge of commercial agreements and frameworks and have demonstrated the ability to create sales/relationship opportunities with clients and prospects.
