Mentoring Her is a social impact organization with the mission to break down the barriers of access that girls and women face by creating a powerful mentoring network that empowers them to succeed through connections, communication and community. We achieve this through the power of technology by virtually connecting female mentors to mentees to enable them cultivate meaningful relationships and help them achieve their full life time potential.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Program Coordinator

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Lagos, Ogun and Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will amongst other things:

  • Create and oversee implementation of an ongoing mentor recruitment plan, including the development of annual recruitment and quarterly activity plans, development and distribution of program marketing materials, presentations
  • Perform and oversee participant screening, training, matching, support and supervision, recognition, and closure activities
  • Develop and manage relationships with schools, partners, and women-focused organizations
  • Manage the planning and implementation of mentor/mentee virtual events – Elevation webinars – Seek collaboration with SMEs
  • Build a strong working relationship with our mentoring program advisory board
  • Oversee inquiry and orientation process to ensure excellent public relations and customer service
  • Maintain and update the program’s policy and procedure manual as needed
  • Oversee program evaluation activities
  • Attend regional / national conferences to increase knowledge of mentoring program and best practices

Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Passion for helping women succeed.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Social Work, Psychology, Volunteer Management, and/or Education.
  • Two or more years’ experience in mentoring, women causes or groups, youth development, working within community organizations and/or schools preferred.
  • Extremely strong organizational, writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity and flexibility are essential in assuming significant responsibility.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM software.
  • Comfortable working remotely as this a flexible position.
  • A masters degree is desirable.
  • Experience working in a Start-up environment is a plus.
