Job Title: Technical Assistant – Underwriter

Job Summary

• Our client is recruiting for a skilled and motivated Underwriter Assistant to join their team.
• Primary function is to review applications, inspections and loss history for renewal business and make good decisions.

Essential Duties & Functions

• Review applications for accuracy and determine that the risk meets the Underwriting Guidelines.
• Order Inspections, Valuations, all third party vendors.
• Rate, quote, issue, bind and invoice renewals.
• Review inspections and reports to determine that the applicant and risk meets the Underwriting Guidelines
• Review loss history to determine if we want to remain on the risk.
• Review and process all policy change requests and cancellations.
• Back up the new business desk.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance or Financial related discipline.
• One year or more previous experience in the insurance industry.
• MS Office Suite proficiency is a must.

Salary
N60,000 monthly
