We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Facility Manager

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

  • The Head of Facilities will maintain all Church facilities. Responsibilities include working directly with the Facilities unit, Volunteers, Ministers, Office Staff, Wedding Coordinator, and Fellowship coordinator, department coordinator in assisting with setup of facilities for building operations and church events.
  • Procuring quotes for large repairs/remodels, monitor/assist contractors, architects, and volunteers making sure necessary tasks are accomplished. In addition, assisting with the transportation and security teams.

Major Job Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing management of:

  • Church sanctuary.
  • Children’s church sanctuary.
  • Church equipment.
  • All church grounds.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed (work order list).
  • Monthly Facilities staff meeting.
  • Quarterly review and half-yearly evaluation with EA.
  • Monthly general staff meeting.
  • Inspect all church properties weekly.
  • Maintain records and spreadsheet on all Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units for all facilities.
  • Coordinate yearly inspection of elevator, fire, and sprinkler system.
  • Be knowledgeable on the security camera system.
  • Operate and maintain the energy management system.
  • Operate and maintain the generator with its utilities such as fuel provision.
  • Operate and maintain the security door system and hard keys to buildings.
  • Review and update church property and equipment list annually.
  • Maintain and file copies of contracts (pest control, roofing, Oncor lighting retrofit, etc.)
  • Maintain the church facilities in compliance with all codes from the city, county, and state.
  • Check church building structure for any defects and repair immediately if minor work is needed.
  • Ensure that all inspections/audits will pass at any given time.
  • Ensure weekly/monthly general maintenance on grounds (checklist).
  • Ensure monthly general vehicle maintenance (checklist).
  • Ensure weekly/monthly/yearly equipment maintenance.
  • Provide quarterly review and annual evaluation.
  • Be available to answer all queries, enquires, etc.
  • To work according to the guidelines established by the church.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist office personnel with heavy lifting jobs.
  • Assist in set-up and take-down work before and after functions.
  • Assist in all Facilities Maintenance whenever possible.
  • Assist volunteers whenever possible.

Major Repairs and Projects:

  • You will from time to time be required to undertake other duties as reasonably required.
  • Assist with projects whenever possible.

Requirements

  • Discretion and confidentiality in all matters related to church members and church business.
  • Commitment to ongoing spiritual and professional growth.
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and vision of TCOLC.
  • Ability to work with and support the volunteers, members, office staff and ministers at TCOLC.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • General knowledge of building maintenance, general carpentry, plumbing, electrical, audio/video systems, network/voice wiring, and custodial skills.
  • Ability to become familiar with all aspects of the facilities and systems.
  • Maintain documentation on all service agreements, warranties, safety related documentation, invoices, etc.
  • Consult with the maintenance, Technical director, PR, Procurement and HF for all spending.
  • Provide invoices and receipts to the Financial staff person for payment.
  • Notify the Head CO or his/her designee in advance for time off.
  • Keep files for safety-related information (MSDS sheets, toxins, dangerous equipment).
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and daily prayer time.
  • Attend other CO meeting wherever appropriate.
  • Attend Facility meetings.
  • Finish all repairs and small projects in a timely manner.
