  • Depth tolerance is no more or less than 0.5 meters from the nominal source depth of 10 meters (or as per acquisition contract specifications).
  • Tolerance for horizontal positioning distance is no more than 5 (five) meters in any direction from pre-plot location (or as per acquisition contract specifications).

Monitor and record node/receiver position:

  • The position tolerance is no more than 5 (five) meters (or as per acquisition contract specifications) from the pre-plot node location unless the pre-plot node location falls into one of the following criteria:
  • The pre-plot node location is in a defined exclusion zone from a seafloor or water column obstruction including but not limited to mooring anchors, well heads, pipelines and cables.
  • The pre-plot node position is located within one of the defined expulsion features and seafloor conditions indicate that coupling or the instrument itself may be compromised
  • Insufficient coupling is encountered at the Pre-Plot Receiver location
  • Unmapped or unmarked seafloor features are encountered that may pose a risk to quality data acquisition including but not limited to unmapped dropped objects, unmapped seafloor facilities related to oil field operations, unmapped expulsion features on the seafloor. All such unmapped or unmapped areas will be documented and reported to the Company. -Noise levels due to oil field operations or equipment at the pre-plot location are such that data can be expected to be compromised or of low quality.-The deployed node/receiver may be offset from the pre-plot node location by a distance up to 100m if the pre-plot node location falls under any of the above criteria (i-v). All such offsets will be documented and approved by the COMPANY’s field representative.
  • A deployed receiver/node location may be offset from the pre-plot node location distance greater than 100m only at the request of the COMPANY’s Field Representative when an offset of less than 100m will not remove the node from the conditions identified the above criteria (i-v)
