Job Title: Public Relations Officer
Location: Owerri, Imo
Job Description
- The Public Relations Officer shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor and for the overall administration of Information and Public Relations Unit, propagating the activities of the University, organizing press briefing and writing rejoinders, whenever necessary, providing expert advice to the Vice-Chancellor on information matters, as well as performing any other related duty that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidate must possess at least a Master Degree in Mass Communication or English Language from a recognized University with NYSC Certificate or Exemption Certificate, as well as at least two (2) years experience as an Information Officer in any government Institution.
- Membership of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) or evidence of registration in an added advantage.
Salary and Conditions
- The remuneration and other conditions of service are as contained in the Imo State University Condition of Service for Senior Staff.
