Job Description
- As a Business Development Executive, you will identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow.
- Your work can involve careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets, or enhancing the operation of the business, position, or reputation in some way.
- You may have a single role in the organization or lead a team of staff. Your work will often reach across all areas of the business.
Responsibilities
- Attracting new clients by innovating and overseeing the sales process for the business.
- Collaborate with Management Team to identify and carry out business risk assessments.
- Communicating with and informing existing clients in a way that supports an ongoing relationship.
- Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets.
- Work with the Chief Operating Officer to set strategy and objectives for lead generation.
- Source new leads and develop a network of key stakeholders to develop the pipeline.
- Orchestrate new business meetings/pitches, and prepare presentations.
- Establish a strategy for opening opportunities with new or lapsed clients.
- Manage day-to-day activities for new business strategy and lead generation campaigns.
- Prepare reports and deliver pitches including – records of sales, client prospects and existing database, and weekly/ monthly sales revenue.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers and subsequently grow the business by leveraging those relationships.
- Manage business profitability.
- Work strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes.
- Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients.
- Work closely with the business owners on a business growth strategy and then devise an action plan with goals and objectives.
- Have a good understanding of the business’s products or services and be able to advise others about them.
- Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
- Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
- Proven working experience as a business development Executive, sales, or a relevant role.
- 4 – 5 years experience in sales and marketing role.
- Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to build rapport.
- Communication and negotiation skills.
- Time management and planning skills.
