Job Title: Deputy Warehouse Coordinator – M / F

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Deputy Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for controlling all stock movements and inventories, especially the accuracy between physical and ORACLE figures.
  • She/He shall also replace the Warehouse Coordinator during his/her leave and handle the warehouse housekeeping.

Description and Expected Outcome / Performance Indicators

  • Follow receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Assist the Warehouse Coordinator to Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • Ensure vendors’ deliveries are received and checked with end users
  • Control full accuracy between documentation, deliveries and dispatches
  • Prepare any necessary documentation, especially ORACLE reports and dispatch them properly
  • Control the arrangements of materials / spare parts properly in the container upon delivery
  • Control the dispatch of materials / spare parts as required by vessels and end users
  • Handle stock movements in ORACLE.
  • Prepare inventory as requested by the Warehouse Coordinator
  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
  • Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
  • Prepare Mini-Max, security stocks and automatic reorders
  • Prepare report on mini-max levels and automatic reorders to get approvals from end users
  • Assist the Warehouse Coordinator to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
  • Jointly work with the Warehouse Coordinator to Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance.
  • Prepare report on mini-max levels and automatic reorders to get approvals from end users
  • Ensure proper respect of HSE rules and requirements, housekeeping and maintenance.

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Management; or a degree in any related field of study or equivalent combination of experience and education in the oil and gas, offshore or marine & Logistics Sector.
  • Fluency in English. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Leadership and management skills are essential in Material Management and must be able to demonstrate previous experience of managing people, including performance assessment.
  • Plan, organize, supervise and participate in the operations and activities of the Company Warehouse.
  • Train, supervise and evaluate personnel.
  • Utilize space efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain inventory.
  • Receive, issue, store and return warehouse stock and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock transactions.
  • Work independently with little direction.
  • Observe health and safety regulations.
  • Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Work Experience:

  • 5 – 7 years’ experience in warehouse Management, Stock Controlling, similar position in the Marine & Logistics Company
  • Background in Warehouse Management coupled with knowledge of Capital Projects Information Management.
  • Methods of receiving, inspecting and issuing materials.
  • Materials, equipment and supplies used in a marine and Logistics Industry.
  • Warehouse operations, procedures, equipment and terminology.
  • Space utilization and inventory techniques.
  • Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.
  • Health and safety regulations.
  • Record-keeping techniques.
  • Inventory methods and practices.
  • Principles and practices of training and providing work direction.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
  • Automated warehouse inventory system.

Candidate Criteria
Minimum level of education required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (3 years)

Minimum level of experience required:

  • 6 – 10 years.
