Job Title: Senior Laboratory Manager
Location: Oshodi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines, policies, and safety standards.
- Coordinate and ensure best laboratory practices are followed.
- Coordinate and lead group laboratory activities.
- Inventory, asset, and sample management.
- Procure common reagents and consumables for the teams.
- Coordinate maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Responsible for acquisition and coordinating installation of new lab assets.
- Facilitate sending and receiving precious biological samples.
- Receive and store supplies/reagents in temperature appropriate locations.
- Comfortable with operating in a BSL2 environment.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant industry or academic experience
- Postgraduate Degree (preferably M.Sc) or experience in relevant discipline is ideal
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices is necessary
- Knowledge of BSL2 operations and regulations is important; knowledge of BSL3 operations
- Strong problem-solving and team building abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional candidates will have prior laboratory management experience.
