We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Stores Officer
Location: Urhonigbe, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time
Primary Responsibilities
- Be responsible for inventory management and stock monitoring.
- Organise regular/periodic stock count exercises and ensure discrepancies are resolved on a timely basis.
- Ensure the store is optimally utilized by constantly reviewing layout, space utilization, and material flow to identify improvement areas.
- Ensure daily records of store transactions are uploaded onto the system on a regular basis.
- Implement approved HSE policies and procedures for store safety.
- Pursue FIFO (First In, First Out) stock administration technique to accomplish no expiry or write-off.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required; maintain inventory of items in the store; file records as required
- Ensure the store requisition form is signed by the person collecting the goods and entered into the Inventory/Materials Management System.
- Conduct inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs.
Qualifications / Experience
- BA / B.Sc / HND in any Social Science or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience as a Stores Officer
- Computer literacy is essential. Proven ability to utilize and develop computerized spreadsheets and word-processing applications
- Age: 30 – 40
