Graphics Designer (Program Analyst) at the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy (JOOPSA) – Edo State Government

The John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy (JOOPSA) was set up by the Edo State Government as a Learning and Development Institution positioned to drive accelerated human capacity building for public servants in Edo State and beyond. In pursuit of this objective, the Government built a world-class Training Centre with modern training facilities (classrooms, amphitheatre, library, laboratories etc.) designed to be equipped with the best-in-class technologies, training aids and equipment in support of trainees learning experience.

The Academy is positioned to bridge and rebuild the human capability gaps in the service and ensure that the Edo State Public Service continuously possess the required human and service delivery capabilities required to achieve the State Governor’s vision in upskilling and retooling the public servants of Edo State.

We are seeking dynamic, innovative, dedicated, and results- driven individuals to fill the position below:

Job Title: Graphics Designer (Program Analyst)

Location: Edo
Grade Level 08

Job Summary
The Graphics Designer will work with the Business Development & Partnership team to create visual text and imagery concepts using software and applications for various clients. In addition, h/she will:

  • Communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate clients through content design
  • Create designs across various channels, including leaflets, posters, email campaigns, presentations, brochures, website content, social media platforms, and other documents.
  • Organise copy flow and maintain database/bibliographic/archival retrieval system of all references used to create published materials
  • Provide information to faculty, students, and staff regarding the publication’s design
  • To consider how a design may be optimised or produced in an alternative format to meet accessibility requirements
  • Pitch unique ideas for design projects
  • Stay abreast of design trends
  • Any other roles as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

  • The job holder should possess minimum qualification of a First Degree in related field.
  • Must have at least 5 years experience.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with design software and graphics editing software, such as InVision, core Adobe CC packages including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, etc.
