Community Relations Manager in a Leading Upstream Oil & Gas Company

A leading independent Upstream Oil & Gas Company in Nigeria with active operator-ship of prolific blocks, based on their current expansion and development programs, is recruiting experienced, intelligent and resourceful candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Community Relations Manager

Location: Nigeria

Principal Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate will assist in the negotiation, supervision and implementation of development projects and programmes in company host communities
• Developing and enhancing healthy and mutually beneficial relationship with relevant host and neighbouring communities.
• Research, develop and implement Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives/strategies in line with agreed Community Engagement Framework for Host Communities
• Promoting and enhancing harmonious relationship between the company and
• host communities
• Minimising, if not preventing clashes between the company and host communities
• Managing the media and preventing Bad Press.

Skill, Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of Bachelors Degree in any of the Humanities or Social Sciences disciplines with a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) is required. A Master’s degree or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Candidate must have worked in a similar role for at least 10 years post NYSC in the Oil & Gas industry of which at least five must have been spent in an E&P company.
• Good experience in formulating and implementing community development initiatives and programs is essential.
• Previous experience in the print or electronic media and excellent relationship with them would be added advantage.
• Prospect should Possess strong analytical and good negotiating skills. Sound relationship management skills
• Candidate should be Team Player with good decisionmong capabilities. ellence working in agitated communities will be an advantage
• Candidate MUST be very knowledgeable in matters relating to All aspects of the PIA (2021) and related Regulations.
