Job Title: Process Supervisor

Job Description

  • The company is seeking an experienced Process Supervisor, based in Abeokuta, Nigeria to join the company in this exciting phase of its growth to build the first of its kind fruit processing company in Nigeria.

Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate would accomplish daily set targets by efficient utilization and management of resources on the production floor and packing floor.
  • Effectively communicating job expectations, delegating, coordinating, and monitoring packhouse & production processes to achieving set targets.

Key Accountability Areas and Outcomes
Plant & Capacity Utilization:

  • Meet daily set targets within stipulated time.
  • Supervise production & packing processes
  • Coordinate basic maintenance and cleaning of the processing and packing unit
  • Interpret production plan into achievable targets of shop staff.
  • Ensure product quality.
  • Manage material inputs and product output balances.

Manage Plant, Process and Systems:

  • Ensure conformance to specifications and SOPs
  • Facilitate effective team dynamics
  • Communicate effectively in the workplace

Production Records and Report Management:

  • Ensure records are detailed and updated on time.
  • Ensure data integrity
  • Ensure the reporting standards and integrity

Health, Safety, and Environment:

  • Adherence to PPE policies
  • General housekeeping
  • Identification of unsafe practices
  • Safe operation and maintenance practices audited

People:

  • Develop staff on-the-job technical skills
  • Execute planned job rotation
  • Create alternates for all critical roles
  • Build team spirit
  • Manage staff performance
  • Give weekly/monthly staff feedback
  • Document /or follow SOP/Recipe.

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • B.Sc / HND Degree in Engineering/ Food Technology Ideal Leadership and Teamwork
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising a food/beverage production factory
  • Supervisory skills
  • Numerical skills
  • Knowledge of processing operations managements and reporting·
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Time management skills
  • Understanding of the principles and practices of The TPM {Total Productive Management}.
