Job Title: Factory Hygienist
Location: Agbara Factory, Ogun
Position Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
- We are currently looking to hire a Factory Hygienist whose responsibilities include to support the factory in specific areas of expertise (e.g. food safety, HACCP, auditing, hygiene, pest control)
Main Responsibilities
People and know-how:
- Promote quality awareness across the plant. Contribute to competence development of quality professionals across the organisation as a member of the food safety team.
System design:
- Supports the design and update the specific quality procedures, instruction and tools which are directly related to their area of concern.
- Set operational objectives in collaboration with the FS & Hygiene coordinator and Quality Assurance Manager
- Ensures compliance with all hygiene indicators including Pathogen monitoring plan.
- Line release after maintenance, foreign body prevention, intervention and shut down.
Quality mastership:
- Supports the Nestlé Continuous Excellence program in the quest for zero defect, including root cause analysis after incidents (or near misses) and DMAIC.
- Supports activities to achieve compliance with the Nestlé Quality Management System requirements and other applicable instructions and standards.
- Deliver training on hygiene and food safety.
NGMP and Hygiene:

Quality auditing and verification:
- In their specific area of expertise, assess that the Nestlé Quality Management System is in place, and is obtaining expected results in each operating unit.
- Supports Internal auditing process.
What Will Make You Successful?
Academic Experience:
- University graduate or equivalent (preferred Food Science related).
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience in similar field.
Operational Experience:
- Demonstrated competence in their specific field to support business requirements:
- Team member in a factory: Quality, Production Support, Application Group, or, Team member in the quality department of the Market, PTC/R&D, Centre, NRC, NQACs.
Business Experience:
- Experience in successfully implementing quality assurance programs:
- Participating in project teams
- Leading part of a change effort
- Participating in audit teams and/or improvement projects with more senior staff members
- Establishing networks of peers, in markets or factories.
