Co Creation Hub (CcHUB) is Nigeria’s first open living lab and pre-incubation space being designed to be a multi-functional, multi-purpose space where work to catalyze creative social tech ventures take place. 1.) Management Accountant
Job Location: Sabo – Yaba, Lagos

Job Purpose
- The Management Accountant (MA) will be responsible for the preparation of management accounts and several other reports whilst also overseeing general accounting procedures and practices within the business.
- The role combines financial, analytical and management skills to aid senior management with decision making and promoting long term financial success, growth, and profitability for the business.
Core Roles and Responsibilities
Financial Management and Cost Control:
- Provide timely and accurate management reporting to assist with key decision making across the organization. This reporting includes but not limited to income statements, cashflow analysis, account receivables, account payables, overhead costs, revenue forecast, analysis of key indicators, historical and budgeted information.
- Support with recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
- Advises on current business asset valuations, capital projects and investments through the right analytical qualitative and quantitative techniques.
- Communicates and advises what impact financial decision making is having on the business and its finance operations.
- Controlling income and expenditure within the business and ensuring that expenditure is in line with budgets.
- Monitors developments in global business practices, current economic climate and suggests the improvements needed in the financial and risk management of the business (the CcHUB Group).
- Assesses and advises on the right strategies to manage business and organisational performance in relation to business and finance risk while communicating the impact effectively.
Financial Data Analytics and Reporting:
- Analyses and evaluates financial data using appropriate tools and technologies.
- Track and determine financial health of the business by analysing actual results in comparison with forecasts.
- Communicating with all levels within the organisation and present financial information to non – finance members of staff.
- Applies technologies to visualise data effectively and clearly.
Managerial Accounting:
- Support with project billing, calculating true employee cost, timesheet management and project reporting.
- Collaborates on all tactical and organisational areas involved with budgeting, control, capital investments, resource management and people.
- Review accounting processes, practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Uses development and performance management across the group/wider business and technological environment, as part of the strategic planning and implementation.
- Directs performance in the company through selecting and measuring financial and non-financial performance indicators.
- Consults on design and use of the latest technology and information systems to evolve decision making and organisational performance.
Governance, Risk and Control:
- Evaluates all internal structures and governance and implement improvement initiatives for the financial success, profitability, and growth of the group.
- Monitors and applies legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to the organisation.
- Recommends the right strategies to ensure the organisation adheres to governance structures and applies best practice internal controls.
- Highlights and manages risk appropriately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or similar.
- 3 – 5 solid years of experience as Management Accountant or similar in a consulting firm, ideally project-based organisation.
- Either qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA etc.) or working towards becoming one.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail.
- The ability to always look to improve current processes.
- Extensive experience in project costing and good understanding of business.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels to advise and liaise with senior members of staff
- The ability to work well under pressure and use own initiative to solve problem.
- Proficient in applying modern data analytics and visualisation tools including but limited to PowerBI, Tableau or advanced Excel skills, particularly in manipulation of big financial data and data analysis.
- The duties of a management accountant should be carried out with a high degree of organisational.
2.) Project Associate (Creative Economy Practice)

- The Creative Economy Practice at CcHUB aims to enhance Job and Wealth Creation, and opportunities for Creative Expression for Africans (particularly women and young people), through innovation and the application of technology in the African Creative Economy.
- The practice focuses on four main areas:
- Research: Landscape, stakeholder, trends analyses and mappings to support evidence-based decision-making and advocacy for the Creative Economy in Africa.
- Community and Ecosystem Development: Connecting creative and technology ecosystems and pan-African networks through the provision of workspace, face-to-face and online meetups and events.
- Investment Readiness: Training, bootcamps, incubators, accelerators, tailored advisory and other support to boost the capability and attract investment.
- Investments: Through our Syndicate Fund (equity, $50k – $250k) and management of partner funds – grants, debt, equity, hybrid and through investor education and advocacy.

Job Description
- We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Project Associate supporting projects related to Creative Economy Development in Africa.
- This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development, management, and advisory aspects of projects, partnerships, and activities in alignment with our creative economy ecosystem development strategy.
- The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of Creative Economy programs, collaborating with sector stakeholders and communities.
Responsibilities
Support for Programme Management:
- Support the project management and the planning, schedules, and budgets for agreed activities, ensuring timely completion within defined timeframes and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with other organizational units such as Finance, Communications, and Design to deliver agreed programs effectively.
- Participate in donor and grant application processes, including design, submission, and review.
- Provide progress reports on programs to key officers, enabling informed decision-making.
Support for Relationship and Stakeholder Management:
- Support delivery of a framework for engaging with various levels of stakeholders, maintaining positive relationships with all associated parties.
- Curate relevant activities, stakeholders, events, and workshops related to the focus of the practice
Support for Communication and Evaluation:
- Coordinate with the Community Manager and Communications Unit to develop and manage digital marketing and audience development campaigns, including social media platforms.
- Provide content to the Communications Unit for internal and external communications materials.
- Support the implementation of evaluation strategies for each project, adhering to program standards and reporting any variations from the target.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Project Management, Arts Administration) or equivalent experience (4 years in addition to the experience specified below)
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in project management, preferably in the creative economy or related field..
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and across organisational units.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels.

3.) Research Manager (Creative Economy Practice)

Job Description
- The successful candidate will conduct and lead research, produce user-friendly reports and creative outputs, and manage research partnerships related to Creative Economy sectors and trends.
- You will have experience managing applied research projects in a formal context.
- You will need to show evidence of experience in managing at least two research projects outside your academic research
Leadership and Project Management:
- Provide overall leadership and direction for research projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Develop and implement comprehensive research plans, including data collection strategies, sampling methodologies, and ethical considerations.
- Manage a team of researchers, including data analysts, to ensure high-quality research outcomes aligned with the research plan.
- Coordinate with the data science lead to integrate data science and machine learning methodologies into the research design.
Research and Data Collection:
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing literature, research, and data related to the creative industry landscape in Africa.
- Conduct interviews with key stakeholders, including policymakers, industry experts, and academics, to gather insights into the African creative industry.
- Undertake field research and observation of creative industry activities and practices in different regions of selected countries.
Reporting and Validation:
- Draft comprehensive reports summarizing the key findings of the research, as submitted by research teams.
- Conduct internal validation of submitted reports and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.
- Organize external report validation and framework design workshops to present research findings and contribute to the development of intervention frameworks for sustainable growth in the creative industry sector.
Qualifications
- We are looking for an accomplished researcher who combines excellent technical skills and experience in research projects and team management.
The Successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Advanced Degree in a relevant field, such as Economics, Social Sciences, Data Science, or equivalent research experience.
- A minimum of five years of experience conducting research specifically focused on the creative industry sector in Africa.
- Proven experience in managing research teams and coordinating research activities.
- Strong analytical skills, numerical confidence and ability to translate numbers into clear insights and recommendations.
- A critical thinker who is curious, intuitive and pays attention to details
- Innovative with ideas on approaches to collecting, evaluating and modelling datasets that will be used as the foundation for the company’s future solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex research findings clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Knowledge and skills in Qualitative and Quantitative research methods.
- Experience in developing research tools for qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Strong work ethic and thrives working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using statistical languages such as R/Stata is desirable.
Job Location:
- The role can be based anywhere in Africa, although Lagos, Nairobi, Kigali and Windhoek are preferred
